EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child - Signing, Speaking, Languages / Spanish channel - YouTube

I've been looking for more resources for teaching my LO Spanish, and I came across a really great channel on YouTube for learning Spanish. I have only watched a few of their videos so far, but it seems to be a keeper. They teach colors, body parts, animals, etc. making sure to include the written word as it is spoken. The accent used is from Spain. Anyway, I just wanted to share my findings with all of you. I'll post as I find others. Hope this helps!
The channel is called Babyradio.

Someone else on the forum also suggested Wink to Learn. It sounds like it is a good one. I agree that the YBCR episodes are a bit too long. When I showed her YBCR English we usually broke it up into two shorter sessions.

Hi and welcome! My family is Spanish, and we live in the US. How old is your LO? I tried the Doman flash cards and although she liked them, LR and LM definitely make it easier! I haven't purchased them yet but will be doing that soon. Do you use LR in Spanish, English, or both? I've been doing the trial version in Spanish only. I'm also getting ready to purchase Kidstart Spanish or possibly YBCR Spanish as well.

Thanks for the insight! I am a native Spanish speaker, so I'm looking for something to reinforce spanish for my 9 month old. I started YBCR in English with her a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm wishing I would have started it in Spanish or Kidstart Spanish instead. Even though I speak to her in Spanish, she hears English all of the time because that's the main language that my husband and I communicate in, although we are working on changing that. In addition, we are doing other educational programs that are only in English. We tried LR Spanish Lite. She seems to really enjoy that. We will probably make that purchase in a few months. I am going to go ahead and order the Kidstart program then. She seems to really like the format of YBCR, and she loves songs! Even if your kids are not fluent in Spanish yet, it sounds like you've laid a great foundation for them! I actually checked out a Whistlefritz DVD from the library, and I have to say I liked the little bit that I saw. I wanted to see if my LO was interested, and she definitely liked it.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child - Signing, Speaking, Languages / Spanish and English

Hi everyone! I'm new to posting on the forum but have been reading on here for quite awhile. I have a few questions about multiple languages for my 9 month old daughter. Do any of you have experience with YBCR in Spanish? My husband is bilingual with English and German (English is his first language) but he also understands spanish pretty well and can also speak enough to get by. I speak both English and Spanish fluently (learned English as a young child/no accent in either language) We live in the US but would like our daughter to be entirely fluent in at least English and Spanish. We would like to introduce additional languages in the future, but these are the most important to us right now. I speak to her mainly in Spanish but he and I communicate in English so she hears English all of the time as well. We recently started a couple of weeks ago with YBCR in English (DVD split into 2 sessions and occassionally she gets the full DVD 2x/day), Tweedlewink (a few times per week), Signing Time (a few times per week) and short segments of Sparkabilities. I'm wondering if we should be doing the YBCR program in Spanish instead of or maybe in addition to the English one? Or if there's a better program out there? I'm afraid that because she hears so much English now since we started these programs (ie. YBCR, Tweedlewink, Sparkabilities, and anytime we are out and about since most people here speak mainly English) that she won't learn Spanish fluently. We have also started LR Lite in Spanish. We are trying to decide if we should purchase the Spanish curriculum for her as well. I have been reinforcing the words from YBCR English throughout the day, but now I'm wondering if I should be doing that since I'm trying to speak to her only in Spanish. I'm also concerned about screen time at her age. Prior to a few weeks ago she didn't have any screen time other than a quantity app with the Doman style red dots. Sorry for the long post. I have lots of questions!

Can I ask if you were doing any other screen time while you were doing YBCR? Computer, iPad, or TV? I'm just trying to figure out a good schedule for my LO, and I'm a bit concerned about screen time. She's 9 months old and hadn't had screen time before just a couple of weeks ago.
