EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: Problem Solving Glenn Domain

I've been doing math with my 18 month old son for over two weeks. Few days ago we started doing addition. Since my son is always on the move and is hard for me to keep him still for longer than few seconds I only do one equation 2 x a day. Is this enough to teach him addition in two weeks, should I start doing subtraction after two weeks or will that be too soon?

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / beginning program with 18 month old, need advice

I'm getting ready to begin reading program with my 18 month old. We are doing math now and I've noticed that if I do too many cards at once Kaietan is bored. I have to trick him a little, hide cards under the rug or under the pillow, play hide and seek, show cards in the car.
How can I avoid boredom when doing reading program? Will 2 words in one session be enough? Do I have to do 5 different categories each day? And if I show one category only two times a day will that be enough? How do I combine reading with math?
I know that's a lot of questions but I want to make sure I do everything right. Hope you will share what you've learned form your experience. Thank you all

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Math / Re: Schedule available for download/ Print for Math Daily

Looking at that schedule I see that I've been doing it all wrong. When I visited the Institute the lecturer told us to mix the numbers so babies don't get bored. I've been retiring and adding new number daily but not showing from the smallest to the largest. We were told that babies intuitively know that the new number is bigger. I hope you understand what I mean. I found the same advice in the book, did I misunderstand ? We are now at 21, 22, what should I do? Start from the beginning?

Zaczelam od razu robic z Kajtkiem matematyke, przygotowuje teraz karty do czytania i z czasem zamierza tez wprowadzic Bits i wloski.
