Hi there...yea...slacking...I'm good at that! I think I over-did it when introducing the Doman flashcards to my son so I've had to be VERY careful on how we approach teaching...I know the #1 rule is to make sure everyone is having fun..... :-)

Hi there....isn't it a wonderfull and friegtening thing to be a mom? Now I understand what people said that once you have a kid, you will never sleep again. It's been that way for me.....yesterday our 3 year old boy lifted his Daddy's eyelids and said "Are you awake Daddy?" I let him do that because he did it to me just earlier that morning. See you on the boards. Deneen

ummm....okay so I'm being a little lazy and could look this up on my own but maybe I'm not the only one that doesn't know how many MBs in a KB (or is it visa versa?)
My suggestion is to reword the text below the space when adding an attachment to our post. All my pics seem to be in MB's.
How about this? You may add 4 attachements per post. Each attachment needs to be less than 1.5MB or 1500KB.
I'm not clear if the 1500KB is per attachment or for all 4?

Hi there...I too feel overwhelmed. I've been a stay-at-home mom for a few years now and feel so lost on the forums...so I'm starting to read thru a bunch of the posts.
I'm sure all the BrillKids folks will answer your questions, but feel free to also ask me (a very new newbie) and maybe we can learn all this stuff together.?
Have you downloaded the Little Reader yet?

Hi Priya! You have a pretty name too.
My boy is named Shawn Michael....my husband and I started with that name then went though about 50 others and then settled back on that name. We found out AFTERwards that "Shawn Michael" is a famous wrestler and people often ask if we named him after him.....uuggh! We don't particularly like wrestling...although our little boy seems to take to it natuurally....and climbing and running and jumping..... :o)
Glad to have you here.

Hi there...what's the poll about? I could probably share with you what NOT to do on all those topics... I have a three year old boy who keeps me on my toes..... There is someone on this forum with a signature line that says something like: "While we teach our kids about life, they end up teaching us." take care...

TWO BOYS!!!!! oh wow! Mine is 3 and we (mom, dad, dog and son) went on a walk the other evening around the block in our neighborhood....I felt exhausted after the short walk simply becuase my son did not take two steps in a straight line...he was over, behind, around, in, out.....I giggle thinking he walked the equivalent of 3 blocks to our 1. They sure are fun, though.... Welcome....

Deneen - Hi there! Your avatar makes me smile - what a great face Nice to see another Missourian in the forums -I'm only a few hours away in Columbia. Have fun with introducing the Little Reader to your son - it can do so many things (to keep things new and fresh for him)! I am a big fan of using sign as another modality/cue for introducing new words/concepts to kiddos - In the near future, I will be searching for an easy site to add videos of individual signs to my word files -I'll let you know if I come across a good one that will let me use the video footage. Take care and welcome to the forums! Hi there...I was curious about being the only one from MO....thanks for letting me know. And by "sign" you are talking about sign language....right? We are hearing people, but with a toddlers babble language it sure has come in handy for him to communicate with us via sign language. RE the video of signs...couldn't that be used in LR? I'd love to collobrate with someone on a project like that. Again, I'm a GREEN NEWBIE and not 100% certain but I thought one of the features of Little Reader was to be able to add video to the words. I have a camera, a three year old and some computer skills....what I lack is focus and time...maybe we could do this together??? :-)

The BrillKids Forum / Forum Feedback + Questions / Blank/white screen when pressing "Next" or "Previous"

Hi KL, I may have already reported this issue but it just happened again so... I am having a similar issue that was mentioned in the "any problems after posting" topic. What happens to me is when I'm reading posts and then click either "next" or "previous" when there is no other "next" or "previous" post, I get a blank white screen and I have to use my browsers "back" button to get back on track. I love being involved with this group...you do a great job making me feel welcomed.

The BrillKids Forum / Forum Feedback + Questions / Re: My PM outbox

Is it also true that a user can opt to keep a copy of all PM's sent via default settings in the Account Managment page? Here's how: Go to your Account Management Click on "Forum Profile" (one of the pink tabs) Find the "Modify Profile" section on left side of screen, Click on "Personal Message Options" Then put a checkmark in the "Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default." KL, question...with this setting, would we then have the option when sending a PM to NOT save a copy in our outbox?
