EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: How and Where to Start

Thank You Tanikit. I would follow the suggestions given. My son is not walking yet however it is difficult to draw his attention since he is constantly crawling everywhere. I guess I would try the flashcards during mealtimes when he is confined to his Highchair.
Also can i start in any order like animals, colors, numbers? Or is there a particular pattern to follow?
Please let me know Thank you PP118

I live in Edison NJ . My son turned 1 last week. I recently got to know about this site and the READING & MATH here. I am looking forward working with my son for these. However its quite overwhelming with so much information here that I dont know where to start.
I would love to meet Parents around the Area to share our experiences.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Math / Re: Strictly Dots?

Does these Dots need to be in a particular order or can we just randomly make cards with dots anywhere? Something like for number 2 can one dot be at the center and the other and the corner of the page? I ask so since I need to know if the child learns the order or the pattern?
Please help Thank you PP118

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / How and Where to Start

I am a newbie here. This site seems to have a lot of information and material to teach your child. I have a 12 month old and would like to know how and where to start from. How many flashcards do I need to show my child? What size do they need to be? For how long should they view the cards? Do I need to show the picture or the word itself.
I am sorry for posting so many questions but I am really looking forward for work better with my child
Thank you PP118

EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / Glen Doman Method

Hello :
I am so thrilled to be a part of this great forum. I am a mom of a 12 month old boy and I recently found out(read online) about IAHP and the Glen Doman method. I wanted to know if I was late since my boy is already a year old now? If not where and how to start? If this method is not recommended then what else can I opt for Early Learning for my child.
Kindly Help. Thank you PP118
