Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: What is your favorite place to take a walk with your children?

Trying to keep Doman's suggestion of walking every day in mind, I try to walk in town from my house to the store or post office at least a few times a week. I do have access to one walking path, but I have to drive there and find I only get out there once a week. The process of crossing the street with a distracted toddler is difficult, my luckily I live in a small town without a lot of traffic.
unfortunately, we can not do that, I live in the middle of nowhere, the market closest to my house and 15 minutes by car. Then, I leave my daughter free in our backyard. Then, every opportunity I have to go with her, is gold. She can not see her dad get the car key that already extends his arms to go along.

when it comes to reading, if i introduce a new word then i would spell her the word repeatedly so that she can understand and read. then she would get learn the words.
once she know reading those words to check whether she really knows the words i make small story using those words and then ask her to read. she really go good at this and enjoy a lot. then we draw a picture for the story and and give her for coloring. we spend good time while teaching. she can read many of the words now
How old is your baby? congratulations!!!!

Welcome! Talk to your childs doctor. He or she will be best able to tell you if you have any reason to be considered. Most kids talk when they are ready. Some like my son needed some early intervention. Every child is different
I know this is not about the discution, sorry... I saw your blog, you are a super mom ... congratulations ...

if you're not sure if your child is behind, talk to your doctor and make an appointment with Early Intervention. My daughter did and that was when I discovered she had a more advanced understanding of the media in her age. But she was with language late. They also explain what you have to do to help your child. In her case, as posted on another topic, she had problems with ear infection for 1 year, and because we speak in 3 languages in my house.
