Hi Hypatia,

When I click on Download I get to download a file called "Shapes amp" and the file type is "Compressed (Zipped) Folder".

Unfortunately it is not a LR file.  Very confusing.

Another small change you might like to make, this time in the story titled "Smiles":

bk-smiles-page-10 currently reads

"That /makes /me /smile/. /I /bet /that /makes /you /smile, /too!"

The following would be easier to read when using split mode:

"That /makes /me /smile. /I /bet /that /makes /you /smile, /too!"

Could you please update one of the pronunciations in the "Sally's Room" story which needs a small correction.

bk story sallys room girl - With her red building bricks.mp3 says "With her red building bricks and a pink pig doll."

However, bk story sallys room woman - With her red building bricks.mp3, bk story sallys room man - With her red building bricks.mp3 and the Words for bk-sallys-room-page-6 say "With her red building bricks and pink pig doll."

I cannot even imagine how overwhelmed you must be by all of this. 

 I have only rarely looked at the thread to see what the Playlists contain, but I know that you have done an amazing job. 

Could you just add all of the Playlists (broken into smaller lists if needed to ensure they fit in these posts) you have all created to date to this Thread just like you did on page 3. See http://forum.brillkids.com/general-discussion-b5/sharing-our-home-made-learning-dvds/msg39864/#msg39864.

If you put headings at the beginning of addresses grouped by topic, then surely everyone could easily search for what they need. Just like Library – all links http://forum.brillkids.com/teaching-your-child-other-topics/library-all-links/msg31624/#msg31624.

Then you could put another message at the end of the thread with links to each of the DVD’s Playlists contained within this Thread and say something like:

“THREAD NOW CLOSED!

DO NOT ADD ANY FURTHER REQUESTS OR THANK YOUS TO THIS THREAD.

REFER TO THESE LINKS FOR ALL OF THE PLAYLISTS THAT HAVE BEEN CREATED. PLEASE ENJOY THEM.

I love your wonderful books.    My son will certainly love them. He cannot get enough of the books about our family that I make for him.

Unfortunately I do not know how to edit your books. Could you please let me know how to edit pptx files. I suspect that I cannot do it because I only have the viewer.

There are two pages that I cannot use in your books:

1. The words "The horse runs" in YBCR Vol.2 book in english.pptx do not fit on the screen.
2. The word "chimpanzee" is split between 2 lines in YBCR vol 1 book in english.pptx.

Are you able to fix these and also attach ppt files so we can add pictures of our family and friends?

Please help me clarify:

 - When auto-forward is ON, the first picture shown each time LR is started will 'blip', provided it does not have any audio attached.
 - Auto-Forward may be cutting pronunciations short?
 - Occasionally, playback slides will display for longer/shorter than expected.

Also, mom2ross and Mum - does this behaviour only occur during user-created data, or with course lessons as well?

- Blips with audio attached like for cricket in Semester 2 lesson today.
- May also blip when not the first picture if pronunciation file is longish. I think it happens when audio files have longish single words, such as some of the dinosaur names.
- When it happens the pronunciation is always shorter for the picture than for the written word even though they have the same audio files attached.

I noticed it a lot for grasshopper in the Semester 2 lessons. We got “grasshopper" when the word was displayed and “grasshop” for the picture.

For me the auto forward playback speeds forward or 'blips' even for words that have pronunciations (not necessarily voice-overs for the picture).

I've noticed it happens for particular words, and not others.

Longer words I think.

If I tweak the delay of the auto forward to .4, the problem goes away.

This was my solution too some time ago. Did you also notice that if you immediately moved auto forward back from .4 to .2 the problem seemed to stay away for a while. Or was it my imagination? I have to say this again, very strange!

I noticed this problem as soon as I downloaded LR 1.5.255. Before I reset all of the Auto Forward Delays I thought that it was cutting long words short when showing pictures.

I have tried adjusting the Auto Forward Delay bar a lot for my Playlists and now they are watchable. However I still experience the "blip" for the first picture file that appears in the first playlist of a session. A blip explains it precisely. All of the other pictures now appear to play as usual and all of the picture files in the next playlists I play in the session now appear to play as usual.

The picture slides will stay on the screen for the same length of time that the pronunciation from the word slide took. If you don't have an audio file attached, it will speed through very fast.
