Hello,
I am so sorry your son and your family had to go through that. My son caught the flu and it was very hard seeing how his body was so weak. In my experience with myself to help get over the viral infection drinking clear broth helped provide my body with the nutrients I was missing out on because I could not handle eating alot of different foods. I have heard that an excessive amount of cold foods such as raw fruits and juices can weaken your immune system so to eat them in moderation. Additive rich foods can also weaken your immune system. Also if you are throwing up and having loose motion it is your body's way of getting rid of whatever is causing you not to feel well. Eating rice, dry toast and bannanas are some foods that will help with the loose motions. When my son was sick I felt so sad but alot of people told me it was ok and that it would help him build his immune system.
Take Care, Mela

Hi,
I had my baby about half a year ago and I do have some days where I feel weak. I have started to notice on the days that I excercise in the mornings I have more energy and even feel happier. I also try to eat healthy food that will not make me feel sluggish after I eat. Good luck and try not worry, just make sure you get enough rest.

I am a new Mommy and very excited about teaching my son to read and do math with the BrillKids software. I did purchase other reading programs before I heard about BrillKids. My son absoutely loves the BrillKids programs and I am sharing this experience with many of my friends so that they will know which program to purchase so that they do not end up wasting too much money.

Since I am with my son 24/7 I have gotten to know his patterns and when he does not go at his normal time I stand him up and and tell him it is time to go I count 1,2,3 and I breath in and out deep he copies me and sure enough I see his face look like he is concentrating on something and shortly he does his business and then he laughs. My parents think Im just imagining things but when they hold him standing up and he hasn't done his business recently I let them know he will and most of the times he does. I don't know if it is easier for him to go standing up rather than when he is laying down.

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy and was wondering if anyone else who had been diagnosed with this for more than one of their pregnancies. It was hard to control what I was eating while I was having cravings and I did not realize how much sugar is in the foods I would eat on a daily basis. Also should I be worried that my son will develop diabetes during his childhood?

There are many babies that are fed with formula. My mom did not feed me breastmilk past three months. I was a healthy child. I remember my Aunt feeding her two babies formula and they were healthy kids as well. I would not worry about it too much because if you worry your baby will pick up on your vibe. Did you ever try mixing formula and breastmilk. Also did you try pumping your milk so you could feed your baby with a bottle? I was very concerned I was not producing enough breast milk and started drinking mother's milk tea to promote healthy lactation. Best of luck to you.

My baby boy is half Indian and was born on India's Independence Day! My father woke up in the middle of the night and told my mom that today is the day. Little did he know my husband and I were on the way to the hospital already. We did not want to call anyone until we knew I would not be sent home.

I am a stay at home mom with a husband who doesn't mind helping me maintain the house during the week. Every weekend we do a thorough cleaning of our entire place so that the work does not pile up and become overwhelming. It also helps that we are both very organized, do not keep clutter and put things away in their proper place. As of now it is fairly easy but once our baby boy starts moving around and making his own messes we might have to clean thoroughly more than once a week. I also do not like to handle my son after I have been cleaning with lysol etc. because of the chemicals.

Chicken Tenders with Apricot Sauce
Ingredients 2 pounds chicken tenders, or breasts sliced into strips 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 cup Dijon mustard 1/4 cup mayonnaise 6 cups cornflakes SAUCE: 3/4 cup apricot preserves 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon rice vinegar X Instructions Heat the oven to 450º. In a large bowl, toss together the chicken, salt, pepper, mustard, and mayonnaise.
To make the coating, pulse the cornflakes in a food processor about 10 times, or place the flakes in a sealed bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Transfer the crushed flakes to a large, shallow bowl.
Dredge the chicken in the cornflakes and arrange the pieces on a rack over a baking sheet. Be sure to space the pieces an inch or so apart for even cooking and browning.
Bake the chicken for 15 minutes or until the tenders are cooked through and crispy on the outside (they will crisp up even more as they cool). Let them cool on the rack before packing them for travel.
For the sauce, combine the preserves, mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar
Or you can use already made chicken tenders

I know that my husband is tired when he comes home from work but I have started including him in the learning activities with my son. It is a great bonding experience all three of us can share together. As for us having our alone bonding time... lets just say I have been blessed with a very patient husband who understands I am head over heels in love with our son and we have left our son with my parents a few times but I would always miss our baby so much. His commute to work is over an hour and he does help out with alot of housework so he is always very tired and asleep by 10PM most nights.

I also gained about 80 pounds during my pregnancy. I always had the tendency to be overweight and I always ate whatever I wanted I just worked out alot to stay skinny. Since I am breastfeeding I have been advised not to lose too much weight rapidly because it will release toxins that may be present in my breastmilk. I have been working out lightly everyday. I have more energy and have been slimming down. I am also motivated io eat healthier while breastfeeding.
