Hi there, you'll have to get it checked out by a doctor - don't panic though it's quite common. In my husbands family most of the boys have it. It does seem like there are different degrees to it. Like one of them is totally and another one gets two colours mixed up.

Hi there, my friend has an older child with special needs - he's 14 years old and they have struggled to find a school that will take him in. Do you think this program would help him? Or is it only designed for up to 5 years old? Anyone know???
Thanks

Hi there, not too sure if this will be very educational but usually we make tea! I then ask my three year old son what words he liked the most. Or we repeat the "hey diddle, diddle" rhyme together. We have a garden, so some times we go out and look for a 'pink flower' etc.

BrillKids Software / Little Reader - General Discussion / Re: upper case v lower case . . .

I have been using the - first school website - they encourage a letter of the alphabet each week. All their material has the uppercase and lowercase letters. My son has thrived on this method of teaching and is fine with the Big A and the small a, sometimes we get him to find the A and a's on a page - or what ever letter we are doing - and he reckognises it right away! His alphabet on his wall though is lowercase. We do tracing of letters both upper and lower and it's his favourite part of the week. I guess you just have to try and see what works for you.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Math / Re: Anyone get results from Doman Math Method?

My son is three years old and just recently we have started with the red dots. Previous to now he hasn't shown any interest in numbers. Often I would try to count with him and although he got the gist of it, he still gets mixed up. Whereas, the alphabet he can say almost all the way through and we have taught him the books of the bible and he can say them all, with just a few mix ups. The dots though have caught his attention and he is full of questions. I am so pleased.

Hi there everyone! Isn't this such fun? We came across the program quite by chance, I was helping do some research for a friend who has a special needs child and wants to teach him to read. We hope that we can get enough points to win a free Little Reader to help him... It is a little scary getting started, but have posted my first download today. It is African Animals and although there have been lots on it - the pictures are quite natural and in the African bush and could be added to your Animals Category even as a second picture. My next lot have got some stunning pictures, I can say that as a friend of ours took them all. So look out for them!! You're doing great - have enjoyed downloading all your hard work. Thanks TABS
