Yes, I'm proud of my baby, but mostly I'm glad that everything I did paid off. The most satisfaction I have from this forum, BK program and Doman program. I'm glad that I found out all these people sharing the same interest to get the most potential from our babies! I love this forum, I got so many ideas from here!

On this video Eaton is reading simple 3 letter words but he knows a lot of long ones too. I will make some other videos of him. It's hard to catch him reading though

With LR we spent about 10 min a day with 3 times sessions a day. But since Eaton was 12 months he wanted me to read books for him constantly. I started to go to thrift stores and buy books for 25 or 50 cents with BIG fonts. I choose books with words under pictures cause I always use my fingers to point what word I read. I was reading to him average 20 books a day for about 4-5 months until he was 16 months old. Something changed and he wants to apply those words in real world. We read  story books now, but he still wants me to read anything. Now about 10-15 books a day. I stay home so I have time for it. Eaton just loves book, what I can say

I was just wandering if any of you estimate baby's knowledge of words. My baby is 17 months and I can estimate he knows about 2000 words or more. He can read about 500 or more words. I was able to make a short video of some words he can read. I was kind of chasing him to make that video, I don't do that to him in general

My baby is 17 months old and I want to teach him how to use abacus. I did a little research on internet and I found that website:

I bought that program with abacus. I should have it in few days. But I can't tell you no more about it until I will practice. I plan to start teaching my baby at 2. He has great motor skill (I started pre-writing activities long time ago). At this point I started to show him abacus flashcards on BK.

My baby knows how to count to 20. I've read a lot about kids 3 or 4 years old who can't understand the context of number 5 in one bead (on abacus). Maybe when we start early it will not be an issue (this is just my thought).

My baby is 3 months and 1 week old. About month ago I've started reading program. Few days ago he started to roll over and since then he lost interest in reading.

He doesn't look at cards only into my eyes ALL THE TIME.
 Anyone experience something like that?

Any suggestions how to put him back on track??

I have 3 months old son. When he was 2 months old I was introduced to Doman method and importance of crawling. Since then I started to put Eaton on his belly few times a day just for few minutes. Sometimes I allowed him to cry. One day when I wanted to show him some words in the morning (our usual time) he was frustrated, he stomped his feet so strong that I figure out he wants to move. I put him on his belly. He was trying to crawl for 20 minutes until his first cry.

So my advice is:

1) The baby should sleep on the belly ( I did that after 2 months because of reflux). Baby is moving a lot during sleeping where muscle are used.
2) Find good time for a baby when he is energetic. My baby is doing his crawling sessions at 6 am and later before noon. Try not to put him on his belly after feeding. (full stomach doesn't really help)
3) Put baby on a belly many times a day for a short period of time.
4) Lay down with him and look into his eyes. Motivate him with nice sound of voice. Use positive words.
 
Now my baby is 3 months  and 3 days old. He has his sessions twice a day for 15-20 min.  He loves them a lot.

So be patient like one lady said on the forum. One day baby will decide to crawl.

Hi everyone,

I have 2 months and 3 weeks old son.
3 Weeks ago I introduced black & white flashcards to my baby. I've read  in "How smart is your baby?" by Glenn Doman that it's good to show them black & white pictures for the purpose of baby's brain stimulation. I've downloaded and printed out flashcards from this forum and my baby LOVES them. Particularly he loves to look at flashcards "faces:. Some of these flashcards have red color also. But the point is to get him ready for a start in reading. One week ago I bought " Your baby can read" set. I started to show him basic words. But after about 3 days I've realized he doesnt' have an interest in that yet.  I shown him black & white flashcards again and he was excited seeing them. He was smiling to me like never before. So I don't rush. I still stimulate him with black & white & red color pictures, occasionally we watch a dvd with words from a reading program.
I think it's good to wait until baby is ready. And yes, crawling is very hard for him to so far
