yes mom2bee. that's what I've been doing and I don't if that's the correct way to go. I hope I don't regret anything when she's 5 or 6 and I'd go; gosh, I should've done that!    So far I have 26 shortest surah, one ayat per slide (including 3 surah uploaded by mwiederrecht). I wanted to upload them all to the forum but I haven't contacted mwiederrecht yet, in case she is working on the rest of the surahs.. . but it's not PPT, it's the LR format.

I love your idea about labelling the items in the house. I have some images in my head, I will turn my house into a fancy kindergarten. My daughter don't have prolem with LR at all. The problem will come only when I close the application   she can sit there 1-2 hours sometimes we can cover ALL slides/languages each session. Will there be any side effect if I continue this..

but for LM, I have to bribe her with nursing her during the session..but I don't want to be off topic 

Hi Ayesha. love the post. It's really helpful. I'm teaching my 15mo daughter quran and I'm using all the materials in this site though I don't really know if what I'm doing is the correct way or useful. I'm reading the whole surah to her, do you think I should go to the asic first.. I tried to google on how to teach baby read quran but none of the results I find useful. Just wondering what those parents do to make their child memorize quran at such a young age..4yo and some 3yo. do you know... If there's something I can do right now I don't want to miss it.

I'm teachin my 15mo daughter to speak english, malay and araic too. The other languages I'm teaching but with low priority are japanese and french.
but I will be overjoyed and truly blessed if she could memorize the whole quran at young age. So far, I don't know how to do that yet.

Hi, my daughter started to sign when she was 9mo. It was 'milk'. I wasn't so serious aout teaching her to sign but since her first sign I started to do it everyday. Though her signs and gestures are all hilarious and a bit different I try to understand them. For examples, if she sign for books she will raise her palms almost parallel with her shoulders. Maybe the one she's reading was a big book..haha! At 15mo, she signs as she speaks the words. At the moment, I try to figure out what she's trying to say when she press her index finger onto her chin 

I think it's the same with my 15mo daughter, visual and auditory...but more to visual I think..

you're absolutely right. I did try on the 10th to see if she want to say the word. Hmm..maybe not yet    but it's okay. not just she will get frustrated and bored, I too will get myself in the 'result-oriented' mode. So, no. I gave it a try just that one time and continue doing LR/LM like normally I do. Only for words she knew in signage she will express the words by signing.

After doing some reading on early learning I figure I'm not doing enough. Thinking to send her somewhere...

You can call me nellie I'm a SAHM, 28, a mother of tonight-just-turned-out 14mo daughter and I'm in Kajang and I love to know mommies around my area. I'm quite new with LR & LM and SOO not advanced in teaching babies like all mommies here. I dont even know we can send them to classes. I thought playgroups are for 3yo and up    I'm a bit dissapointed at myself not to gain as much knowledge as possible when I had a lot of time during pregnancy. All I searched and studied was about pregnancy, which hospital should I go, what post natal service should I get, what not to eat what to eat more. I even made the wrong flashcards. I thought I'll have time to read about potty training, teaching babies, solid food, blah blah..all for later but I'm so wrong! They grow up so fast I can't even catch my breath.

Anyway, I was using the free downloads (hihi) since she was 2mo or so but not in a systematic kind of way. Finally bought the lovely system precisely 3 months ago and been using them consistently ( :P ). beside that I read to her everyday and do flashcards from baby einteins and random flashcards. Favourite cartoons for now is Minuscules. As for DVDs, she enjoys baby einteins series and talking hands (for signing). That is the only DVD I have for signing as I kinda lost on how to teach Sign Language to her. She only knows to sign 'milk','eat','bath','drink','sleep','kiss','tree'. She recognizes her eyes, nose and stuff and the first time she said a word and meant it was when she was 11m.

As for reading, I haven't try the output of the LR & LM yet. On the 10th (tomorrow) it'll be 3 months since I started the proggramme. Should I be expecting something...? Should I put on mute and let her read on her own? I only do it twice a day, is it really enough..?
