I came across some algebra tiles while going through amazon.  I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them.  I saw  many favorable reviews by teachers so I decided to go ahead with the purchase.

I agree with Mandabplus3.
If it weren't for the BrillKids programs I doubt my son would have the patience to complete other lessons we have now added to our schedule that take longer than 15 mins.   Another quality he has been showing us is that he puts his toys and all their pieces away in their proper place before moving on to the next toy.  Everyone laughs saying he is taking after his over organized mom. 

No question is ever silly    and so glad you are enjoying the programs!

Cayden loves watching these clips whenever I remember or get a chance to put them in     He has learned how to draw basic shapes so far.
Recently purchased  Ms. Marnie's new DVD called Fun Foundations and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on it.  Hoping to set aside some time this week to try some yoga poses.

Thank you! Cayden was around 7 months old when we started using Little Math.  For the past year he has been asking for "BrillKid numbers" throughout the day so I have recently got in gear and started showing him the playlists already provided for us in the math section of the program.  He had been going through a period where he did not want to add or subtract anything so this came as a shock since I thought he had forgotten what he learned and was no longer interested. 

I had to share this video with the forum because without BrillKids and all of you here none of Cayden's achievements could have been possible.

I agree with Kerileanne the Basher books. I bought the core science set of Chemistry, Biology and Physics and probably will not buy anymore.  We are still using the Basher cards because after you cut them in half they are great to recreate the periodic table. 

The elements by Theodore Gray are great!  I took them to a local teacher store and had them laminated since Cayden often carries various ones around like they are his security blanket.

What has really boosted Cayden's knowledge of the elements are posters.  In his basement playroom we have one that shows actual pics of the elements (I don't have a link as it was a gift from my Father he has had it hanging in one of his labs for years).

My heart goes out to you and your family. I will pray that you can find the strength you are searching for.  You have a wonderful and strong family where you can get strength from each other.  There is nothing anyone can do to 'make this all better' but trust in time you will start to smile and even relax again.  I am pretty sure that those horrible criminals will never set foot back into your neighborhood in fear of being recognized so you don't have to worry about them coming back.  I know this is hard especially being around the holidays but don't let those robbers rob you of wonderful memories you can still have. 

Have the police directed you to any support groups where you can meet with others?  That way you can learn about the different stages of healing from this so you can be in control.  Don't let those criminals take anything else from you.  Soon you will realize you have become stronger by getting through this.

As for moving forward... If I ever had another child I would flash them letters, blends and the digraph sounds.  My son memorized these through foam magnets and other games we played and is able to read everything.
