Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: When to move from crib to toddler bed?

Now I don't feel so bad. Thanks for sharing with me. I know he is ready, he fell out one time but once is enough. It scared me silly! We have a toddler bed that matches his crib somewhat. We bought it when he was 9 months old so we have it, it's just i thought he was to young. But I guess not. I have been letting him fall asleep in his room on a pile of blankets and pilllows to get him ready for his toddler bed. I even thought about leaving a camcorder in his room for the first week to see if he is actually sleeping. We plan on moving soon so I thought that would be a good time to switch the beds out, a new room, a new bed. He was upset when we started taking his toys, and stuffed animals out. I tried to explain it to him but i don't think he got it yet. he is cranky today because of it.

I contacted them but no. Neither one of them have the equipment to give us this option. I guess I will just make them myself. I will go to the local hobby store and pick up the board and the sticker paper that is water proof and print my one, binding them with my book binding machine that my hubby bought for me for my b-day. So if anyone else is interested in getting their book done this way I will be glad to help.
I will go get the supplies soon and place the finished product on here for veiwing.
I do have a video about mine here, check it out in the video section.

That was another website that I had in my data base. I haven't ordered from them though. Sometimes the shipping is more than it's worth on some websites. Just have to check them out and see. They look great! Are there any suppliers in Aust??
I will check on this??? Can anyone find a self-publisher who does board books? I have searched and searched. I know that I can buy the grey board and make the books myself using the tag board sticky paper that I can print on but it still comes out to be about $5.00 a book in cost for a 4x4 book not counting the time. But I make mine anyway. The only problem is they are not water proof like the other board books that you buy. I guess I could laminate them but there goes the cost even higher. I would say around $8.00 a book for a good printed water proof 4x4 book with 10 or 12 board pages. Maybe when the boys get bigger I will invest in this adventure??? We use board books every week for school so that's a lot of board books to make, and a lot money.

There are several sites but they are expensive. I just print my photos on photo paper and then glue them to the board books but here some sites www.lulu.comchoose the scrapbooking format, but this is card stock not the white board www.walmart.comchoose the photo department, but this is card stock not the white board http://www.originalworks.com/I tried to find a board book publisher but I wasn't successful. Does anyone know of one? If you don't have the time I would be glad to help you create yours. I have the board books in various sizes already, I would be glad to print your own book for you and ship it to you. If you are interested let me know. http://www.blankslatebooks.com/products.htmlThe above link is for you to use your computer and print the labels off, and place them on the books. It is a kit that comes with the software. It really is easy that way, no cutting, coloring, or pasting. You just print on the labels what ever you want using the software that is included, and then place the labels in order.

I take poems, songs, and turn them into a curriculum. I plan on uploading the rest of the curriculum on this theme soon. There are 8 sets on this one little poem. I usually create 200 or more pages for one poem or song including, spelling, reading, math, science, prewriting skills, and so on.

I agree. My children love to sign for the first time my infant which is barely 9 months old gave me the sign eat. I was so excited and now he loves to sign milk, eat, and bye bye. My older son loves to sign as well; all gone, diaper, eat, drink, and mother.

My infant is 9 months old and we have started him long ago on baby foods. Some are labeled stage 1, 2 and 3. I with my first son grinded everything up in the Magic Bullet. But here lately I wanted to try our foods with the infant so we plan on buying an infant feeder teething sack also in addition to grinding foods. This sack comes with a handle like a spoon but has a mesh sack to put foods in. This helps the baby learn to chew, and use his teeth and tongue. When we first start our kids out on non-liquid foods I started them on the melt in your mouth puffs. The sack also helps with teething by placing an ice cube in it.
