We also do all 3 together, twice a day. If he loses interest, we take breaks in between and try again later. If he's still not interested, we may skip a lesson for the day. The lessons are short and enjoyable for him. I am getting ready to add some encyclopedic knowledge. Night time is when we relax and do most of our reading. For now it is not super structured but works for us!

Exercise, adequate nutrition, and good sleep habits are so important for developing bodies. Beginning with good habits early is so important and impacts their future health.

Some of the moms here have used little reader for older children. I think it would still be appropriate. I can get my cousins 5 year old to watch LR, and she has learned from it. I think the addition of the phonics and sight words sections has made it even more appropriate for teaching older children as well as younger.

Although my son is only 5 months old, we try to keep routine. I have found the routine to be important. It is a way to show them that the time to go to bed is approaching. We are a late to bed/sleep in family. I don't stress a lot over bedtime, but he is normally a pretty good sleeper. He generally goes to sleep within an hour of his normal bedtime. I allow naps as he needs them. I think the key is catching cues before they get overtired. Being overtired makes him an absolute mess. I have found that I spend twice as much time getting him to sleep if he is overtired. I am sure that things will change with age, especially when we start school, but for now what I am doing works.

I absolutely love the updated version. I am new to the program and was only on lesson 13, so we just started the program from the beginning. I love that sight words and phonics are introduced in the very first lesson. This is such an amazing program. Thanks
