Hello! 

I have been using BrillKids with my son for months now - but recently we have not been as consistent.  The computer is not as accessible as the TV and he is not as excited about it, but we will continue to do it.  I LOVE BrillKids.  I would like to purchase something else to support more words for our little guy.  We have TREND and Target flashcards. 

Does anyone have experience with Preschool Prep or Your Child Can Read DVDS?  These are the two I am looking at.  I am also open for other suggestions of other things you have done in addition to BrillKids.

Hello! 

We love our Brillkids books - in fact, my Son picks his own books off our bookshelf and they are about the only books he pulls down for us to read.  However, I've noticed recently (he is 15 months) he gets really upset if I try to use the flap function, and only wants to look at the picture page of the book.  Help!?  Do you guys have any thoughts or suggestions??

Hello everyone! 

I am loving exploring the world of Glen Doman and want to continue to feed my child's intellectual appetite!!    We feel he has reached an age where he wants more than what we are doing:  Brillkids Math, Reading and Music.  As I do some holiday shopping I wonder what subjects other Moms dove into that were appropriate for a 15 month old boy.  I was thinking geography?  human anatomy?  solar system?

What kinds of things did you guys use at 15 months old?

Any suggestions are really appreciated!!

That is a helpful perspective.  Some of my friends (who are against teaching babies to read) have mentioned babies do not have the capacity to understand phonics.  My son seems to really like this portion of the lessons.  This is all such new concepts to me, and I feel like I don't know what I am doing  

Also, should I be playing the games for him?  He cannot use the mouse or point yet. 

I am trying to take the advice... "one thing at at time", given to me by another parent who teaches her children by the Doman method.

 My baby is 6 months old and I just ordered the Brillreader!  So excited!  I never thought I would be teaching my baby to read, but here we are  

We tried the app on our phone for a few days and he loved it.  The trial on the computer is a little different.  It has portions with phonics.  It is my understanding children cannot deciepher phonics until a bit later.  Should I still be showing him the phonics portion of the lessons?
