Thank you so much for your message. I guess since every child is different there is not really a way to know. Six months is the right time to start with signing, right?

With my son, we've been signing since 4 months. He watched the video since he was 6 months and now can sign 4 signs 

I know when I was younger Disney Made sing along movies with the words at the bottom, like karaoke. Maybe you could find something like that? My son is only on the starter video of YBCR so we still have a while before he finishes.

You could also use fruit or veggies as stamps. I used potatoes when I was younger.

I've been signing with my son since he was about 4 months. He started signing "change" a couple of weeks ago but today he did it without me. I usually show him and he will repeat it, but today I was only changing his clothes and he signed to me! He has also tried signing "drink" durring meals.    I'm just so glad to see my little guy communicate! We started watching Baby Signing Time and I can tell it has helped!

What was your first experience with your child when they first started signing? How old were they?

I know what you mean! I am still nursing my almost 7 month old I my mom never really nursed so she thought I was pregnant when she found out I wasn't having my regular "visits" from my "Aunt Flow". I hated not knowing when I was going to start! Talk about reliving middle school! But I just got mine Saturday. I looked something up on wikipedia for you.

texaslady22, my son stopped after his vaccines too! I thought maybe it was just a weird coincidence. I had told the doctor about my son babbling to stuffed animals. It's like every time you tell someone something your kid learned, your kid stops doing it! 
You mentioned Early Childhood Intervention? I am from Texas myself, do you know of one in the DFW area? My son isn't really behind on any milestones but you never know if you'll need to go in the future. His dad didn't talk until he was 3.

[Baby Babble]

Hello! My son is nearly 7 months and and does not babble. He will occasionally make "raspberry" noise, like  and make a cooing noise if he's crawling. He stopped babbling after 3 months. I don't know why. I talk to him constantly and always talk to him about his surroundings. I was considering buying some speech enhancement dvds or programs to help him out. Has anyone tried the dvd Baby Babble? Would you recommend it? Any other advice would be appreciated 

It seems like you've tried EVERYTHING! My kid sister wasn't potty trained until she was 4. I took her to Dollar Tree and let her pick out a package of eraser toys. She was allowed to have one after she went to the potty. I know you said you've tried rewards. Maybe making a chart and letting him put a sticker every time he goes? You could even set a "goal" and maybe take him to the movies or out to dinner when he achieves your goal? I know you're probably frustrated, but hang in there
