Doing 15 words in one session doesn't seem to make him bored or agitated so i think i'll stick with that.

How many words can a flash to my 3,5 month old at a time?

I currently have 3 categories, five words each.
I remember that someone told me to do 5 words (one category) at a time and give 15min in between sessions.

Is it way too much to show all 15 in one session?

as i am still learning too..I'll start off with the afrikaans (build up a nice inventory if you will) with flash cards and power point and then ill replicate everything to english.

Im going back to work in Feb    will try my best to make sure my grandmother use the cards throughout the day.

hope to get a few good tips from you ladies

We are both afrikaans.
no one she see on a regular basis speaks english.

My granny just suggested i simply do all the flash cards and so on in both eng and afr.
like: ball/bal

....and most people think im totally nuts for teaching my baby to read... hahaha, one day we will surprise them.

Your little girl...can she read the words in your training methods yet?

Hi everyone
My native language is Afrikaans (i live in South Africa), i want my baby (now almost 3 and a half months) to be fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
We talk to him in afrikaans and my flashcards are in afrikaans. But i just downloaded the Ipad app and i love it...its obviously in english so now my question...

Will i confuse my baby if i show him afrikaans and english lessons from the start?
Should i "finish" with afrikaans first and then only start with english?

My baby is now just over 3 months...and I happened to find your awesome site.

Sad to say im going back to work in less than n month...but i'll try my best to teach him using your and my own resources.

My native language is Afrikaans - I see there are a few Afrikaans files to download but unfortunately i receive an error message each time i try to download is.
But i can use it as inspiration to create my own.

My baby is on his second day of flash cards....hoping to keep it up.
