I found these crayon rocks that force a tripod grip because of their shape - I think they helped, but Marina's been manipulating very small objects since she was six months old, so maybe she's just a natural tripod-grip-type kid...

No, it's thicker than that and has an adhesive on one side. I think you can get it sticky on both side as well, which is handy for some crafts.

Thanks again, mother of faith. I feel a bit silly - I couldn't have typed that into google myself?! I guess because the first homeschooling sites I found were faith-based and they link ad infinitum to other faith-based sites, I was beginning to feel like that was just the way it was. Funny how you can get tunnel vision when you've got so much on your plate. A little more sleep couldn't hurt either...
