Hi, I've been in the UK for a looong time - not giving away the age! .  I think there are lots of creative ways of teaching very young babies and children from day one - after all, life in itself is an education and an educational opportunity at every turn.  I think a lot of parents seem to think that all the child's 'schooling' should be done in school, and don't bother to teach a child to read etc just leaving it all for school.  I don't agree.  I think the vast majority of a child's learning will take place outside of a formal school anyway, and its my job to give my child fun opportunities that stimulate his mind and senses.

I'm in Cheshire, by the way, within easy reach of Manchester, Liverpool, Staffs and Darbyshire!  ...anywhere, really!   I have a two year old boy.  nice to 'meet' you all!
