Hey everyone,
  I'm new to the community, but I loved the LR and LM. I was very impressed by the interest my 11 month old daughter is showing in the program.

Anyways, if anyone is looking for a laugh, I posted this article on my blog because I'm always amazed at the things strangers will say to parents. I'm sure you've all come across something like this before:

I'm so excited that I found this site and this forum. When I was pregnant my husband and I looked for information on teaching our daughter more than one language. He speaks English and French, and I speak English, Spanish, Italian, and French, and we both see the value in raising our daughter to speak more than one. We had trouble finding useful info online because most of it is geared towards OPOL families, or MLAT families. We're neither.

We have had some success with BSL, and are expanding the vocabulary we use day to day as she grows. We read stories in French, but hoping to start LR french in the next month or so. It's great hearing from families that have tried upwards of 5 languages with children under the age of 5. Thanks for sharing stories.

We just finished the free trial (10 months old), and while my daughter loved the classical music in LM, she didn't seem that interested. My husband and I figured we'd just buy LM and not worry about LR. Even though she didn't seem that interested in LR, or that she got bored part way through, I started to notice her vocabulary expanding. By the end of the free trial (10 lessons) she would clap along and wave when prompted, as well as recognize toy animals (like her duck in the bathtub).

It may not sound like much, but kids learn language by exposure, so even if it seems they aren't paying attention they will eventually absorb the material. That being said, starting over can't hurt their chances because you'll just be exposing them more to the basics and reinforcing their learning. Best of luck!

Hi all,
  We're from Canada, my daughter is 11 months old, and we just finished the free trial of LM and LR. My daughter loved LM from the first lesson, but wasn't as enthused by LR until the fourth day when I realized she was already expanding her vocabulary and doing the actions to the words. I was amazed, and very excited that I've found this site.

Any other Canadians here?
