hi how come the version that's on my LM is v.1.5.212? and not 211? purchased both LR and LM before the price increase i already reinstalled both LR & LM, downloaded the LR curriculum( Lifetime Plan) successfully but the LM Curriculum couldn't be found on my Account Mgt.-Software Download/Lic Key.. Did I miss something? Do I have to purchase the LM Curriculum? I thought it will automatically be upgraded to Lifetime Plan if it was bought before the price increase just like the LR.. Please enlighten me on this, thank you...

Products Marketplace / Product Discussions and Reviews / Re: Baby walker - yes or no?

I believe in Glenn Doman's stressing the importance of crawling to baby's brain development. And that crawling should be encouraged and that walking will just follow when your baby is ready for it. Aside from that, I find walkers unsafe, especially with my little one who crawls/creeps very fast, i could just imagine her in a walker zooming all over the room. Instead of using a walker for our daughter, we use a push toy (mini grocery cart), we also use Walking Assistant / Walking Wings, it's like a padded vest w/ velcro and snap wrapped around her chest and has adjustable straps on the shoulder part where you can hold her, it's also good for the parent's back, you don't have to lean over to assist them in walking

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: Anybody who read "How to teach your baby to read" Plz help...!!!

Anybody who has tried both DVD & book? Can you please give a feedback regarding the DVDs. Is everything covered in the DVD or do you advice to really read the book. Time is very precious to me and if both covers the same, I would prefer the DVD. Please give some ideas, i just read the How to Multiply your Baby's Intelligence ebook, and I am planning on buying the How to Teach your Baby to Read, Math & EK books, but if book & dvd are more or less the same, I think I'll get the DVD. But if DVD compromise a lot of important points in the book, I will get the book then.

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: How did you deliver your baby? Vaginal or Cesarean?
|

Here is my birth story: I was expecting a vaginal delivery, since my OB and perinatologist said that everything was normal both me and my baby, but due to some circumstances I ended up having an emergency c-section. My due date was supposed to be on the 3rd of August but i didn't give birth yet. Then I had a prenatal check-up on the 7th and had an IE with dilation of 3 cm. My doctor said it was alright, and that I may have labor and delivery in a day or 2-3 days after. But when I stood up from the examination table, there was heavy bleeding, which the OB said wasn't normal, it was just supposed to be some spotting (from the IE). So from the clinic I was brought straight to the hospital for admission & had fetal monitor attached. After an hour I was then assured that everything was normal, both my baby and me, and that I was just ;to wait for the dilation & contraction to progress, so having a c-section didn't enter my mind. Very early morning the next day, my bag of water broke already & the dilation was 6cm, i also had an epidural because the labor pains were getting worse already. A few hours after, I was having fever & dilation was at 8 cm. That was when the complication started, the doctor said that the fever might be due to an infection, an that it's not good for the baby. My doctor said that we'll give it a few hours for the fever to wane & the dilation to progress to 10 cm. if not then i was going to have c-section. But 5 hrs. after nothing happened, i was still on 8 cm. and I still have a slight fever. As much as I wanted to have a normal vaginal delivery, I had no choice but to have a c-section rather than risk for the baby's health. That's how I ended up having a c-section, but thank God my baby was a healthy 8.2 lb. baby girl born on 8.8.08

BrillKids Software / Little Reader - General Discussion / Re: multiple files for the same word?

I messed up with this one too. I'm no tech savvy Some of the pix are missing even when that set is supposed to have pix with them. An audio of a line of a story overlapped a word set. Is there a way to restore to default settings of the Word Library? I guess I'll just have to do it over again since I have still few downloads.I would just like to keep the downloads as they are, so it's RENAME & APPLY TO ALL. If ever I don't want to include an existing file, i could just do it in the Word Lib - Word Files - then either EDIT or REMOVE right? I think I am more comfortable with that than reading those little pop ups.

I still take my prenatal vitamins - Expecta Lipil with DHA Supplement since i'm still breastfeeding my baby. My baby was taking Enfamil PolyViSol with Iron Supplement Drops, but during last month's check-up with her pediatrician, she was tested and has slight anemia. Her pedia prescribed Ferrous Sulfate (.6ml daily for 3 wks ) and her Polyvisol was temporarily discontinued, we were also advised to let her start take meat products. Her doctor assured us that it is not uncommon for exclusively breastfed infants to have anemia since breastmilk has lower Iron than formulas, but still breastmilk is the best. So we did as advised, and during last Saturday's check-up, I'm glad that the result was normal already. PolyViSol was still temporarily discontinued but her Ferrous sulfate (.6 ml) was lessened to once a week .
