Products Marketplace / Second-Hand Sell + Swap / We are giving our Crawling Track for free
|

Hi,
We are moving back to Spain, so we offer the crawling track that we built for our son for free to whoever is interested on it. The only thing is that you must come and pick it up. We can not mail it (it is too big). We live in New Jersey, USA in the zip code 08540.
The crawling track was designed according to the instructions given by Doman inhis book "How to teach your baby to be physically superb"
Thanks !

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child - Other Topics / Re: Anyone else doing Doman with a newborn?

Hi to all !
I started right from birth showing our baby black dot cards as suggested in Doman's book related to Teaching Math. At the beginning my family was quite skeptical and the baby was not paying too much attention, but after some days he started to enjoy and focus in the cards. Now he is 4 and a half months old and I have already moved to the red dot cards. It is much harder to get his attention because he is moving all the time. I tried the crawling track, but it was really hard and did not work. The baby slept most of the time and when he was awake he was mainly eating. Therefore, when I put him in the crwling track he started to cry or to split out the milk he had just eaten...

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Math / Re: when should i get the little math for her? what age?

Hi IMO,
I agree with Quester. The chapter 12 of the book "How to teach your baby math" explains how to start teaching math according to the age of your baby. For Little Babies (between 7 and 12 months) they recomend : 1. Keep every session very brief 2. Have sessions often because the movility of the bay is expanding everyday and they are not sedentary any more
The book works with flashcards with dots, but you can apply the same prionciples with little reader. For me the key question is ...are they able to properly see the screen of the computer when they are so young ?
Hope it helps !

BrillKids Software / Little Reader - General Discussion / Re: Trying to translate LR lessons to Spanish

I completely agree with you, but I am an engineer so I do not have any idea about phonics and I do not have too much time neither. My wife studies Speech Therapy but she is French, so... We should also speak with the people of LR to upload our material as it is being done, so more people can take benefit of our work.
Did you make the course of Dr. Doman in Philadelphia ? Do you recomend it? We are currently living not too far away from there and we will be back in Spain in about one year, so I think it is a big opportunity to gain aditional knowledge. My wife speaks perfect German and French so we would like to teach the baby English, French, German and Spanish. We think that LR can be of great help and that Doman's course can give us some theorethical knowledge about how to do it.
Thank you for your advice !

Hi Joha !
I have just finished with "transportation". I will try to make "Food1" and "Meal time" during the week. I do not think I will do the Spanish Course... too much job. We can also have a problem with our accent...your pronunciation and my pronunciation can be very different...
It is very funny to do this work. I folowed advice 2 from KL for creating the new Category and worked perfectly ! Thank you so much KL !
