That is incredible!!! Hats off to you for your patience and dedication!  My son is already 4 years old.  Can I still do that to him now?  He likes books very much and I noticed that he recognizes the word ON.  I hope that is a good indication.   When he was just an infant I did my own flash cards in addition to the ones we bought and did that every day.  But I got lazy.  I hope it's not too late for me and my son.

I have been trying to get my 4-year old boy into Kumon or Galileo by enrolling him and buying books to teach him the writing skills.  I am doing this so that he will prepared for big school next year.  Any suggetions on how I can get him to be interested?

I am a stay at home mom, but I also work part time.  Might be interesting for you to explore being a headhunter or Recruitment Consultant.  It's a pretty fulfilling job because you help people find jobs.   I do my calls from the house and meet with my candidate either in a coffee shop or my office.

I tried doing the Doman method but it is very difficult.  I salute moms who are able to do it religiously.  I started doing it when my son was about 6 months old but stopped because it was exhausting for me.  But now, with the software from Brillkids, I think it will make our lives much easier!

I was just wondering, is it possible to teach kids math and reading at the same time? How do I divide the time so that they are not overwhelmed?  I would love to teach my s4-year old boy math and reading.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!  When my son was a baby I made my own flash cards for words and we bought flashcards with red dots up to number 30.  Now I don't have to do it manually!!   This is a wonderful software.  I just tried it out with my son who is now 4 years old and he loves it!

Although my husband has not actually used this program to teach our son, I have shown him how it works and how it looks.  All he could say was wow!  He knew what I went through cutting up letters and pasting them on white cards and thought that this was just the answer!

Wow!!  Just googled the correlation of autism with vaccines.  I actually never heard of it until this forum.  My son is complete with his vaccination.  Looks like he's ok.  Sadly, though, a good friend of mine found out about a year ago that her son has early stage autism.  They go to the same pediatrician and probably have the same vaccines.  I wish there was some information anyone can share that I can forward to my friend to help her out or to at least make her feel better.

Tomorrow I am having my nieces and nephews over for the afternoon for our own verson of 'play date'.  Since the kids' ages range from 2 to 11, I decided to make them all do something that kids of all ages love . . . COLOR!!  We found that the cousins simply enjoy doing things together.  Last Christmas, my mom bought these plastic christmas trees (on paper) that you can decorate using decorations already provided.  It was a contest among cousins so they were excited to do it.  Am doing something similar tomorrow that will definitely keep them all busy and excited.  To make it simple, I just bought paper boards and crayons.  This way it's not so messy and they can take home their work after to show their moms and dads (my siblings).

Actually, the radio isn't on, and there's no cd in the player, but I can hear How Deep Is Your Love by the BeeGees in my head!  For some reason, my son loves that song.  He heard it a few times and since then has always asked me to sing the song to him.  Luckily I somehow know the words and he's almost memorized the whole song (with a bit of prompting from me).
