[HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!]

Hi, mommies!  HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!  I just watched a really nice video, a tribute to mothers all over the world.  Has anyone shared it here already?  This is supposed to go around throughout the month of May to support all moms.  Anyway, the message really warmed my heart and made me really feel special to be a mom.    Here's the link to the video.

Hello, everyone!  I just found out that the shape I was looking for is called an "8-point star".  I found many of this shape labeled as such in different sites like here: http://moroccandesign.com/eight-point-star

Or maybe it can also be referred to as a star polygon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_polygon

I'm sure even us adults would want to know the name of this shape!

Okay, now I think I should let my daughter call this shape a star polygon because it seems easier to say than an "8-point star".  What do you think?

Yes, I think it can also be called as a hexadecagon because it really has 16 sides, but most of the hexadecagons looked like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexadecagon

Thanks for explaining about the things that I could do with LR and how to do them.  It's sad though that my trial has expired already and I can no longer try those things out.   Those 14 days seemed to have gone by so fast!

Thanks, isa, but I've tried that before and it doesn't work.  After typing the desired size, it just goes back to 96 again.  Do you think it has to do with the PowerPoint version?  Mine is 2003.

I noticed that most of the free slideshows that I downloaded used fonts as large as about 200.  With my powerpoint I am able to make it as big as 96 only.  How can I make them bigger?  Thanks!

Oh and should I just let my daughter call the other shape as "flower"?  Should I write "flower" on the flashcard?  Thanks!

Sorry if I posted my message in the other category.  I am teaching my baby to read the names of the shapes that's why I posted it there. 

Cool!  This forum is wonderfully made.  It showed the photos automatically. 

I'm having a hard time finding out the proper names for these shapes that are in my baby's shape sorter.  My baby calls them "sun" and "flower" respectively.  But I want to teach her the right words of course.  Can anybody help?  I've made some rough drawings on my computer for you to see.  Thanks!

Thanks, patreiche.  There it is, you mentioned about teaching a foreign language.  Now I don't see how I could do that using the trial version I currently have.  Same with personalizing the lessons.  And perhaps a lot more of the things that you could do with Little Reader.  I mean what I do is to just study the lessons with my daughter the way it is presented.  You know I kind of hear this and that somewhere in the forum but I don't know how they do it or where they find it or where to click it, you know.

And, oh, I just discovered I also received in my e-mail a notice that I'm supposed to have the Little Math trial as well.  I'm surprised because I haven't asked for it yet, and I'm worried that soon the LM will be over without even having tried it out!  What's up with that?

I guess this question must have been answered already somewhere in the forum.  I've been trying to look for that for a while but now I'm getting tired.  I actually have the trial version at this moment and I'm trying to find out and try out the things that I could actually do with the program while I still have the trial.  Of course I'm already using it and trying it out.  But what I want to know is about the features and other advanced stuff that could be done with the program after actually purchasing it.  I hope I made myself clear.  Thanks!
