EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / Fine Motor Development

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a little while. It has been so crazy since I had AJ. He is turning 3! Can you believe it. We have been working on fine motor skills. I found this amazing company which offers resources to help develop and improve fine motor skills. AJ loves it and my nephew who is on the autism spectrum does as well. I also will be using it with Isabella as she starts homeschooling for 2nd grade. Here is some more info on their products and employment opportunity. If you have any questions message me or reply I would love to chat. http://www.myfundanoodle.com/BLOOMINGBRILLIANT/

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Music / Re: Review of Soft Mozart by parents
|

I have seen some bad reviews (and granted it is from a while ago) I am Shocked! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Soft Mozart and I seriously thought about purchasing another company's software but I am so so so HAPPY I chose Soft Mozart. I could go on and on about how much I love it. The software is easy to use. It engages children of all ages (including Parents). It is thought through, meaning every detail was thought out in such a way to optimize education. Not only is the program itself top notch. The company consistently goes above and beyond, giving free curriculum and support online. Having wonderful piano recitals where you earn small presents for performing. The company and fellow members are there to help and support you every step of the way. I am so happy and grateful that I purchased Soft way to Mozart instead of the competitor, because I believe that my children and I have the right tools to learn piano not only on the surface but comprehensively as well. With Soft Mozart we will and have gone further than we ever would have with other products. I purchased Soft Mozart in 2012 and I never, ever regretted it. We have had issues with Soft Mozart particularly after updates but Hellene and Her Team were there to fix it as quickly and painlessly as possible. I thank Hellene for all the work she has put into this product (it is more that a product) and her consistent support and dedication to it and her consumers/ students. If you want to hear more about what I have to say about Soft Mozart you can read one of my reviews here http://bloomingbrilliant123.blogspot.com/2012/04/soft-way-to-mozart.html. I stand by this review it is 100% Honest and holds true to today. We use the software almost daily and we all absolutely LOVE IT.

EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / I need honest opinions of testingmom.com
|
on: November 17, 2014, 04:22:35 PM

Hey Everyone, I have a very important question. I would love to know your honest thoughts on testingmom.com, My daughter is 5 and an early learner, she is incredibly smart. I plan on having her take the gifted and talented test on January 31st (just to see how she does, I am still unsure about whether I am going to continue to home school or not.) however she has never taken an actual test before, so I wanted to get her ready for it in some way. I was searching for a way and came across the Testingmom.com now I am trying to conduct some research because I don't want to waste money (cause honestly I don't have the money to waste however if it is going to help her then I will fork it over and figure it out). I am leaning more towards NO at the moment because whatever I do find isn't singing its praises. I searched the forum here and only found a thread that shared a coupon but when I saw other posts I saw a lady has issues with billing, I found they have some complaints on the BBB which you can see here http://www.bbb.org/.../testingmomcom-in.../complaints as well as this review on a blog http://www.getyourchildintogat.com/.../review-of-testing... which I cannot tell if it is a good service or a complete waste of $ oh and then I just found this review http://squishablebaby.com/testingmom-com-helps-parents.../ Still would love to hear if one of you have tried it out and what you think billing issues aside. Soo if anyone has any information that could help me I would really, really appreciate it!

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Looking for something from 2009
|
on: November 10, 2014, 02:35:48 PM
|
Hey Guys! I am in search of this file I know a Mommy created about 5 years ago. Maybe it was 2009 or 2010 I don't remember who made it or what it was called but it was based on Your Baby Can Read. She made word files which you print and it was flash cards of the words for your baby can read levels and then there were sentences she created using all the words as well. I had it for my daughter and must have misplaced the file and now I am in search of it for my son! They have two different learning styles so I wanted to give it a shot for him. If anyone knows what I am talking about I would greatly appreciate your help!
Best wishes, Christine

EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / Brain Gym

Hey Guys, I was looking into Paul Dennison's Brain Gym, it is really interesting how the movements can help with learning and help with special needs. I am really interested in it and I would love to learn more about it. I saw a few different texts on the internet most with mixed reviews I would like to know if anyone on here recommends anything, if anyone has tried it or used the technique and how they feel about it.
Thank you so much, Christine
