What a great video! The look of accomplishment on her face is just priceless...

My daughter hated tummy-time so we never did it (much to the dismay of her doctor and many other well meaning relatives). It didn't delay her development in any way... she learned to roll back and forth just fine and was power-crawling everywhere way before she was expected to.

Each baby is different. Whether they start out on their tummies or their backs, learning to roll over will be a "struggle" as will so many other things that they learn. I think of it's a very important part of their development.

My daughter is 17 months and we started Letter Factory about a month ago. She reacted the same way the first week. I think the first day she watched it 4 times in a row. I was little concerned too but I didn't think it was doing any harm so I just let her. After about a week her "obsession" was mostly over but she still asks for it and watches it at least once a day.

I won't worry about it too much. He'll probably get over it once he learns all the letter sounds. Which will be pretty soon if he keeps it up

This forum really is the BEST!!! Had I not stumbled upon it, I would not have given much thought to early learning and it's amazing benefits. And seeing how much my daughter ENJOYS her activities makes me so thankful to all of you for sharing your ideas and experiences!

We did EXACTLY what mom2ross did (I got the idea from either a blog or a youtube video; maybe yours?  ) and it worked out great for us as well. I actually sawed off the legs myself and it took me less than 30 minutes but I think you can also take it to Home Depot or any hardware store and have them do it for a small fee. It would probably still work out to be much cheaper than the other sets out there.

I found out about Sparkabilities by reading this thread and after watching the YT clips with my 15 month old daughter I decided to purchase the Toddler 1 DVD. It is a wonderful DVD and she absolutely LOVES, LOVES it. She calls it "Sparkee" and asks for it everyday. It's been a little over two weeks and I didn't realize how much she was learning from it until she started recognizing shapes. She randomly pointed out a heart on my shirt a few days ago and then a star in a magazine yesterday so we showed her a few other shapes and she knew ALL of them. I just can't say enough about this DVD.

Hi Everyone,

I'm a first-time Mommy of a wonderful 14 month old. We're following the Montessori method at home (for the most part) and since finding the BrillBaby website, we started doing YBCR, BST, some flashcards and just added LR and LM this week. She's been doing really great with YBCR and BST and has learned so much from both. And while it's only been two days , so far she is VERY interested in LR and LM.

So, I'm very excited to finally become an active member of the forum and look forward to sharing our progress with all of you!
