Hi KL, I imagine your a BUSY man and everything, but I was just looking through the the thread and saw that you responded to someone saying that there were going to be discounts before the end of the year. I was really hoping that you could give us some sort of time frame in which the discounts might be available, if possible. I am a single mother and desperately need to take full advantage of an early learning system. I use YBCR, but she doesn't like it nearly as much as the Little Reader. ( : ( My Trail just ended! Oh what will I do??) So PLEASE let us know if you and the rest of the team have come up with a date yet.
Thanks!!

I checked out the lab top you want to get your child and I think it's fantastic! I don't see that you can loose much by trying it out and if it works, well than in my mind, it's priceless! I can't wait to use it on my daughter!! LOL, she's only 5 months old, but never too early to start planning.
Good Luck!

Congrats on the new addition!! I'm a first time mother as well. Thank god for sites like this.... As far as your babies cold goes, I'd do what Maquenzie says. If she's stuffy, which she prob is, just use the saline stuff with the syringe and it should clear her nose for a lil while. Lucky for me, my 5 month old has not had a cold yet. I have been sick a couple of times since she's been born, but surprisingly enough, she never got sick. Good luck

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Discipline a Child

As a first time mother of a 5 month old beautiful baby girl, I feel like I'm well equipped to deal with the many issues that await me. I have always loved animals and have been around them for most of my life. As an animal lover, a PACK LEADER and a MOTHER, I've learned very quickly, that if I DON"T have RULES, BOUNDARIES, LIMITATIONS & DISCIPLINE, then whatever it is, a dog or a kid, they will not RESPECT ME! If I do not get their respect, they will not listen. Whenever I'm babysitting or walking my client's dogs, I always make it a point to make sure they know who is the Pack Leader, or in this case, The Adult or Parent. You have to make a fast IMPACT because if you don't do it in the beginning, then it will be harder to achieve later on. (kinda like learning - it's much easier to learn earlier rather than later) Once you've lost control, it's not easy to gain control. GET IT?? I strongly believe that many parents find it very difficult to discipline their kids because of the simple fact that they don't want to be the MEAN one. In other words, they don't want their kids to not like them as much as the other parent. I think that is ridiculous!! I've found that even though I'm considered the mean one in my family, the one that tells them what to do and when to do it, when to study & do homework and it seems like I'm the only one that disciplines the kids, the KIDS all have MORE RESPECT towards me, than they do with their own parents. (My brothers) It's crazy! Anyhow, I just wanted to comment on that because I feel that a lot of parents feel the same way when it comes to discipline. And thats why kids act out the way they do. Please dont take anything the wrong way or be offended by my comparing kids and animals, but to me that theory works well. I get respect from most the kids that I come across, and for sure get the respect from all different dogs that I walk. I LOVE THIS SITE & THANKS SO MUCH PARENTS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL RESOURCES AND INFORMATION!

After finally getting, My Baby can Read and finding out it was a pirated version, I came across your site. I was amazed at the information and amount of resources there are. Coming from an uneducated family and having experienced the difficulties of being uneducated, has by far made me realize how important it is to educate your children during the first couple years of life. And I'm SO EXTREMELY THANKFUL for people out there, like YOU, that make systems like this, to help children enjoy learning. I know I hated school when I was little, and unfortunately for me, it's still rather challenging learning new material. I have to repeat things sooo much in order to remember and understand them. And even then, I might not fully understand them... That's why, after learning about the Little Reader and reading as much as I can about it, I've decided that I DO NOT want my daughter to experience the kind of struggling I've had to go through. She will be a Little Reader Example that when given the opportunity, babies can and do learn to read by the age of 5.. Heck maybe even 1, like Felicity!! , I guess only time will tell... I've already gained so much knowledge about Early Child Development, and it's only been like 3 days! Can you imagine what I can learn in a month or two. Hopefully, we can figure out a way of buying the system sooner than later.. Thanks again for everything and keep on making learning FUN & INTERACTIVE for everyone!
