I was also wondering about this. I just discovered brillbaby/brillkids a few days ago  My 4-year old son is very engrossed with this (he's a bit late to start with this, wish I discovered this earlier). My 20 month old son, on the other hand, seemed to be interested as well. He does lose his focus once in a while to play with the keyboard. I will also try to gauge his progress using nhockaday's advice. thanks!

I just started using the little reader program. My 4-year old son seems to be engrossed with it, on the other hand, my 20 month old son keeps on touching the computer's keyboard and mouse instead of concentrating on the program. It would really be a great help if I can have this burned on dvd. Another thing is that, my parents (my children's grandparents) sometimes come over to watch over our kids when we go out of town, they have no idea how to use the computer, so it would be nice if the kids can still watch the program thru dvd while their being babysitted
