I have played the piano for about 5 years growing up (was in the jazz band), played the saxophone in middle school, and sang in the church choir when I was younger, then sang in the high school choir, and then did A Cappella where I arranged music for the group in college.
I can read music on key and write it too.
I have already enrolled my son (15 months) in a couple of music classes just to get him going on rhythm. I let him play with the baby piano, play songs in his crib at night, and sing a lot to him.
I am hoping that a music program could encourage my baby's ability to feel music, and hear tones and get "on rhythm"
I have heard great things about BrillKids and I am hoping to get started using the program ASAP as Julian is showing great signs of early language development at 15 months. He babbles Dada so far, and a few other sounds, and signs daddy, more and waves hi and bye consistently. He has also done milk and mommy but very infrequently. We have the Baby Signing Times videos that we have done with him and now it is time to start a more formalized learn to read program!
