I am the opposite of a musician and was hoping to find a way to give my son a fighting chance at better pitch, tone, and even appreciation of music. I've been anxiously awaiting the Little Musician. I didn't even know all of these programs existed. Thanks for the info.

I was so excited to see Little Reader available on IPad. We downloaded it immediately. I went through several of the lessons when my son (1 yr) was getting hooked up for a sleep study and it kept him interested the whole time. He fussed only when a technician blocked his view of the IPad. I loved the realistic pictures and clear words. I was very surprised by the embedded videos. That was really cool.
The only thing that would be an improvement for us is how the cards are changed. Right now, I have to hold it and advance through the lesson for my son because he can't do the slide action. However, just having it open to a simple tap wouldn't work for him either because he usually just leans on the IPad with both hands staring at it - this has caused a lot of flash card programs to jump through too fast and words are said on top of each other and it's an unintelligible mess.
The only app I have found that he can advance himself is called Peekaboo by Baby Touch - it seems to open a small window to accept a tap input, takes the first one it gets and then closes the window, so that it progresses, but doesn't fly through because he's still touching the screen. That's his favorite app right now because he can use it all by himself. Would be icing if Little Reader incorporated something like this in the future.
Thanks for such a great product, Kris

Hi,
I have been reading about/following Brill Kids for a bit, but haven't gotten the programs yet. My son, Chase, who has DS, just turned one this week and loves word cards. I was super excited about the IPad Little Reader and downloaded it immediately. I found a lot of the other flashcards apps for the IPad are very cartoony or very limited.
We went through a few of the lessons and he was really engaged. Two nights ago, when some technicians were adding a ton of sensors to him for a sleep study, I used the Little Reader programs to distract him. The videos incorporated into the cards were a great surprise. I am very anxious to get the programs as I think they will really hit right on how he likes to learn.
Thanks for such a great product and website.
-Kris
