The Imani school also uses the program "Reasoning Mind"... I looked it up and it looked like it was only $20 a month for one student. Does anyone else have any info on this program? Maybe this is also part of their "secret". Sorry I don't know how to create a link to the web site "Reasoning Mind", but If anyone takes a look at it I would love to know what you think. Thanks (I am not as good as everyone on here that knows how to evaluate programs... they said a couple fancy words and I was sold )

I have some books I would like to give someone IF they live in the Cincinnati, Ohio area an are able to meet. I get alot of stuff from various places and either can use or just no longer have a need for it. If you live in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and would like to meet up please contact me and I will give you a list of what I have. And they ARE NOT from a pet free home: we have 3 dogs, 3 birds, a few snakes, a bearded dragon and a pet rat. Of course they are NO where near the books but I thought I would put that disclaimer in there anyway. Thanks

I was going to do Jones G but on another forum they said its just "Parlor Tricks" an they are not really learning "real math".... So unfortunately I just can't get the word "Parlor tricks" out of my head, makes me cringe every time I think of it. So we are not doing the Jones G program anymore. Probably will be Math U See then Abacus a little later.

First Merry X-mas Everyone!!! What age can you start the Jones G program, also if I can remember right it comes with a speed reading program? Anyway my lil one is 7months, when is a good age to start the Jones G program. Right now he just does LM once a day and to be honest I really dont know if he is getting anything out of it. He just stares at the screen with no expressions at all. At least with LR he babbles and laughes, but No reaction with LM, and I do mean NO reactions! Thanks

Thanks for sharing that Manda... I am glad to hear you are for "talkers" an I totally get what you are saying about sometimes being quiet... I have been doing this for a couple days now an I am definitely finding a "happy medium". There has been times when he appears to be playing very intently with his toys like they are totally amazing an I will let him be to explore an play. Other times he is just kinda sitting there with nothing to actually do, so I will read a book an start the process of narrating our day an things around him. Yesterday my Daughter was playing with him an she spent approximately 20 minutes of silence with him.... She sat him next to her on the couch while she was engrossed in TV an just kept handing him a rattle when he would whine... This is what I am trying to prevent from happening to me. Poor thing just wanted some eye contact an a lil attention. I finally went an took him from her an he was just so happy to hear me talking he just started babbling, blowing spit bubbles an laughing, it was so cute. He just eats up the attention. I hope I am not spoiling him (I will google spoiliing kids later ) I don't want it to back fire on me some kind of way
