EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Image on flash cards

Hello everyone,
Quick question, when you create flashcards for your baby do you also put an image on the back of the card? My baby is less than two months and i am not really sure how well he will see the picture and if there is any point to adding the picture. Also a friend told me that in the Glenn Doman method, that you are not suppose to add a picture. I am curious as to what others are doing.
Thanks in advance.

p.s. I agree with A_BC please don't compare your child(ren) to other child(ren) you'll end of like me....frustrated and almost ready to give up before my child is even born. Just breathe, relax, and do what you can and not try to be like everyone else. But its nothing wrong with taking advice from others especially those who trailed the path before you but don't get upset if your child(ren) does not end up like theirs. (constant reminder to myself first)

Hmm this is something to really think about. Thanks thread starter. English is my first language and as much as I would love to teach my son arabic...I don't know it. I know a few words but even still my hubby and I only speak English. I think for now, I will teach what I know and enroll him in either an arabic class for young kids or Quran class for young kids.

Thanks kizudo for the advice. I agree completely that one on one learning is the best and I do feel selfish that I am willing to share my passion with my students (teaching) but not willing to share it with my son to be. Thanks. I have alot to think about but I have some time.

In that case, I will save it to my favorites. I have one question, if I am not mistaken I think I read on there that you plan to teach your baby Italian, chinese and a third language that I am forgetting at the moment; my question is how fluent or proficent are you in those other languages or do you only plan to teach these languages as enrichment or further stimulation? I only ask because I know some basic arabic and spanish but I not fluent or proficent in any of them and we really don't speak those languages in my home. So, I don't know how this will help my child if I am not speaking the other languages daily or even often.

I already told my friends and some family, that I don't want any visitors at the hospital or even the first week when I come home until I establish a good breastfeeding routine with my son. I simply explained that (1) I would like to bond with my child and (2) since I am going to breast feed I want to practice with it for some time so I don't become embarasse and accidently expose myself infront of a friend or family member.

I am due today and I am seriously doubting this LO is coming out. My friends have told me to have sex and I always thought that was a myth. Don't be confuse I have relations with my husband but I figured we been having sex our entire pregnancy why didn't I go into labor earlier. As of now, I am trying the squatting and walking methods to see if this will help.

@motherof Faith-Thanks for the advice as well. I will look into finding out about other home school teachers in my area. As of now, my son is still inside of me so he is not receiving any outside education. . I am just amazed by the wealth of information and activities surrounding homeschool. I am glad I have a few years to go before he becomes school age because I think I am going to need all that time to digest and research homeschool options. Thanks again for replying.
