Well I don't Know.. everytime i start brill kids its pops message to upgrade but i live in a country where the speed of internet is v low.. initially i had spend more than 32 hours to d/w LR syllabus.. don't know how much time it will take to upgrade to this new version and was not sure whether after upgrading will it give any value addition! thts y wanted the comments.. If no major diff.. might continue with the version m using.. Thanks for replying..

@ Latreia - its true what Mela Bala has said.. i do sit with my daughter and explain her the things that come on LR in my own language.. I laugh and enjoy n make it fun and she catches the same n has fun.. Babies learn change and new things so its nice to keep them busy all day..

Also as u mentioned, ur baby  can spend like 30 min with LR and she enjoys so do keep showing her as long as she is enjoying.. every time baby wants a break from playing physical games and her routine activities it is a good change to show her LR and LM.. Also i would advise to re-read the words as they appear pointing them from left to right and pronouncing the phonic sounds involved. Have some of the word flashes (probably words which amuses her the most and which are her favorite) printed in dark and bold letters and show it to her twice a day for 4/5 days.. m very sure she will start reading herself those words..

@ masterofmayo - I started teaching my baby when she was almost about to turn to 12.. As per the posts of other parents i read at the time when i started, i perceived that the average time for a baby to start catching varies from 4 months to 8 months or more.. You have started well in time at 8 months, though u might feel initially that sometimes baby is not showing that interest, its very true that each and everything that the baby sees, gets stored in her mind   You can also customize LR to include the pictures that interest your baby more..I m sure by the time your baby will be 14/ 15 months, she would have learned a lot more than the kids at her age usually know..

Dear All,

After going through all the material and videos i still had doubts that babies and in particular my baby can actually read at such a small age.. I bought LR and LM with the perception that even if she doesn't learn, its nt going to harm her..

Now I am on day 55 of LR and whats great is that my baby who is 14 months can actually read several words.. Not only that, she knows all the parts of the body. quiet a lot of animals, fruits etc.

Sure there is a great way ahead for my Baby..

I would like to thank the entire team of LR from bottom of my heart for building such a great content.

Hii,

I have been downloading the course content in parts as the speed in my country is very low.

Meanwhile, I started customizing and personalizing LR. However when i imported the fresh downloaded part of course content, all the personalisation done was washed away..Can somebody help? Do i need to start personalizing after i have imported all the parts of both semisters of course content?

I am very excited about having started to teach my 12 month old baby read. The following are my plans to encourage her early reading:

- Show LR sessions and try to customise them with our pics and things of her interest
- Make manual flash cards about the things that she likes (though she is not at all interested in flash cards at this stage)
- try home made books

I would welcome parents to share what things they did which helped a lot for their baby to read.. I think it would benefit all others..
