The information on this product seems to be referencing its use in Spain. Is this program teaching Spain Spanish or South American Spanish? They are not the same. Thank you.

I recently purchased the 12 month English Soft Mozart software for windows. I have always dreamed of learning to play the piano and now that I have a 3 1/2 year old I also dream of teaching her to play. I used the note flash cards and she quickly learned the flasetto notes do rey mi fa sol la ti do both forwards and backwards. Once I put the stickers on the keys she instantly recognized the notes through the pictures that we learned on the flash cards. The software looks fun and makes playing the piano seem like a game. I am excited to see how the program will go.

I have been using this program with my 2 year old. She loves the DVDs. I believe these are so effective because they show vocabulary words like YBCR and then play a song that she will dance to before another group of vocabulary words. I have a hard time getting her to do LM, LChinese, and LM right now but the songs keep her interested in Reading Amigo. I think 2 year olds are so tought to teach. They can hardly sit still and want to do everything on their own! Oh the terrible twos! If you are thinking about Reading Amigo they give you a trial period that you can return the items if you don't like it.

I should mention that I am especially interested in the math program. I would like to learn the order of equations to show using the dots. Thanks for any info on the method.

I have seen the Shichida method mentioned often on the forum and wanted to try some of the materials but can't find many in English. I did find Mandalas in English thanks to aangeles' post. Can anyone advise me where to find English materials? Thank you.

I am pretty new here too and have learned SO much in the forum. I think the consensus is to do everything as young as possible. I would have loved to start at 6 months but didn't know about right brain learning until my dd was almost 2 1/2. Good luck!

I am so glad you mentioned that once they get older they want to do their own thing. That is exactly right. She wants to do the exact opposite of everything I want her to do. Everytime I try to do something with her she says, "Not today mommy!"  That used to be funny but now it drives me nuts.

I find I can do a better job of educating when we stay home the whole day. That is tough because I organize a weekly playgroup and we do gymnastics, dance, and a kids music class. I feel like we need to do structured activities outside the home to make sure she has lots of social interaction. I also think it will get much easier when they are a bit older and don't sleep as much. She still sleeps 12 hours at night with a 2-3 hour nap. That is great for giving me a little time but makes it even harder to get in all our activities.

I need to get a schedule. I will be glad to see what you post. I am going to try to get Soft Mozart added in each day but I have no idea when that will fit in.

I need to relax more and try to have some fun with all of this. It is nice to know that others have the same worries!

I am sure I am not the only one that gets this way since many of you are of the same mindset. I feel like I spend so much time and energy figuring out what to teach my daughter and what programs to use. I have to remind myself to relax and enjoy her. I need to find a better balance. Right now I am the planner and educator and daddy is the fun buddy. I guess I feel like the window of learning is short for so many things. I just found out about right brain learning and she is almost 2 1/2. Everyday feels like a cram session: LM, LR, LChinese, Tweedlewinks, and some Spanish DVD (reading amigo, little pim, or Speeke). When the day is done I feel guilty because I don't know if we got enough physical activity in, or art, or music/pitch. Then when she goes to bed I am researching what to do with her next. I think I must be nuts!!!!

I feel like my head is going to spin off!!!!!! Any of you have any suggestions on finding more balance? How do you schedule your day to get it all in and still have some play time?

Thanks for the awesome advice. I am just going to hold off on taking the parent class and try the materials on my own. I love math and used to be good at it but all these new learning systems for math are like a foreign language. LOL!!! I am glad there are so many neat options for our little ones.

I was wondering if anyone paid to take the Jones Genius parent course. I am getting ready to order the system and don't know if I need the class or not. It is pretty pricey and I am hoping to just figure it all out by looking at the materials when they come. What is in the class and is it helpful? Thank you.

Also I forgot to mention that I tried downloading a ton of different icons into LM as well as physical dot cards and she still doesn't watch. Help!!!

Does anyone know how I can convert the whole program to grid mode. For some reason I can only get it to do one lesson at a time. I have a 29 month old that I believe is past quantity perception. She refuses to watch LM. I am hoping that by trying grid mode that she will like it again. She was initially interested in the first 2 weeks and then doesn't want to watch it or keeps looking away from it. I was silly and bought both semesters so I want to do all I can to get her interested in it again. Thanks for any advice!!!!!

We are excited to start this too after Christmas. We found a good deal on an 88 key Casio with stand and seat at Costco. After contacting the folks at Soft Mozart I was able to order the MIDI cable from them. It appears that they offer 2 types. One MIDI works with Windows 7 computer and the other MIDI works with the other operating systems. I wanted to give you all a heads up to make sure you get the correct MIDI cord. I will be excited to see how everyone does. My girl is 28 months also. I can't wait to see how she does. I am also excited to learn!
