I am using sandpaper alphabet and numbers with my 3 year old. I started using it when DS was 2 years. I made my own... it was much cheaper:) i glued cut out alphabet templates on sandpaper ( medium course) . I also use jones genuises program maths. This too has helped DS with tracing numbers ...

My DS has become an expert with the ipad.. he downloads his own you tube videos and this is causing me much anxiety. Any ideas on how i can monitor and control what he is viewing. What i have done so far is
1. enabled the parental lock for safari but i did not do this for you tube because i still want him to access his videos
2. tried the tinyTubes app but found it irritating because all it does is create a favourite list of 25 videos
3. removed the you tube completely ( has to deal with a very upset child)
4. i am now contemplating using the Mobicip app that suppose to filter according to age and with the premium package have a time limit to it . Has anyone used this app or anything else that on their ipad to monitor and control what the little ones watch.

Hi , i have been looking high and low on how to purchase the 65 day shichida program. I live in Malaysia and the centers here dont sell the programs to non member ( meaning your child has to attend their classes and the waiting list is 6 months long:)... does anyone know how else i can get my hand on the program? Thanks

Hi mumtobe, thanks for the questions.. it really made me thinking deeper about what i wanted. Firstly, i am in Malaysia . My son is able to count till 50 quite easily. Apart from Little Maths , i have also been using my own flash cards. He is able to recognise quantities till 20. There are days he is very receptive and other days he just doesn't care. i have introduced the abacus to him because that is how i was taught maths. Kumon is really big in asian countries and i was a kumon student myself but i dont know if i wanted such a left brain method for my son this early on.
to be honest with you i really dont know what to introduce to him next. he seems to want more and i am at lost with all the different programs out there?

Hi I have been using the little maths program with my two year old for 6 months for a few months and he loves it.... I would like to add on to his maths program but don't know where to start.... So many programs out there and I have just gotten confused...rights start? Singapore maths? Jones G ? Kumon? What are your kids using? What works for this age group? I am currently leaning towards the right start program but am not too sure....help.....

i would like to incorporate the tweedledee program.... i feel like i am doing so little with him...at the same time i dont know where to start.....thanks

i have been just enlightened that there isnt a tweedlewink center in melbourne.... the next best thing would be to get the DVDs but i have been reading that it is quite difficult to navigate around the DVDs and flashcards... i was checking online and came across training for parents on how to use the material... it is an online course.... has anyone done this? is it necessary?

i started my 13 month old son on the little reader program last week.... i am regretting not starting earlier... i didnt know such a thing existed:).... he is enjoying it but i was just wondering if i am too late .... and when can i expect him to start reading......any tips on hoe i can go about... currently we are having two session morning and evening and we read quite a bit thru the day.....thanks
