I have DIY a powerpoint with 150 vocabularies from the Bible with English pronunication. Pls feel free to use it and circulate to your Christian friends. You will know more about this powerpoint at the last 2 pages of the file.
 
My target is to give my baby daughter more exposure to Bible and build up her Vocabularies base ... this file is served for the 1st step... and there will be step 2, 3, 4...wish that when she turns to age 4, she can read the Bible (for kids) by herself...

could you advise the sequence of learning Math Dots, Chinese (another language) and English? can I play  all the three cards within the same day? if yes, can i play within the same session?

any difference between the word printed in red and printed in black?

此500個詞彙是預備跟幾十位在香港居住、關心BB早期教育的杜曼爸爸、媽媽集團印刷字卡的內容。藉此forum公諸同行的家長。

曾經有家長在小弟的blog上討論過以hardcopy的flash cards 或是softcopy(including Little Reader or Powerpoint)... 那方面比較好... 在此小弟嘗試小小總結一下，藉此拋磚引玉、希望各同行的杜曼父母也給予多一些意見，讓我們在一個互相分享的氛圍(atmosphere)中學習。

(先聲明本人跟brillbaby是沒有利益關係的)

Pro of using the softcopy:-
1. 詞彙的擴展性高一些
2. 認識詞彙後，詞彙組合的變化、片語、短句、 完整句子、短故事的可塑性高一些
3. 可配合wav或其他的聲音檔以作單字、詞彙的讀音、背景音樂、以多感官(multi-sensory)的方法，教曉寶寶認字及閱讀
4. 在預備百科全書時，可以在互聯網上搜集相關的圖片、bit of  intelligence等資料，以電腦軟件的方法，方便組織、處理大量的數據、資料

Pro of using the hardcopy / print out copies:-
1. 不用連繫著電腦，隨時、隨地、室內、室外也可以閃卡來跟寶寶一起學習
2. 認識詞彙後，閃卡可以以配對、句子組成等遊戲方式，放置在桌面上、地墊上，跟寶寶一起學習
3. 實物的閃卡，可以給寶寶觸摸，亦可以閃卡貼在詞彙所指的實物上，又是另一種多感官(multi-sensory)的方法，
4. 不諳電腦的人，也可以以閃卡跟寶寶一起學習

(好的軟件只是提供一個優良的平台及踏出了早教成功的第一步，若要持續豐富當中的內容，必須要大家 -- 同行的杜曼家長多一點的付出 …… 才可以建立一個出色的詞彙及百科全書的寶庫、讓生活在國際都會的香港寶寶，可以在年少時，已能夠熟練兩文三語、獨立地從閱讀中汲取知識、學問，長大後貢獻給社會、國家、全人類……!)

已用了softcopy 的 Little Reader 一個多月了，感覺相當不錯，價錢也頗合理的，之前用的是microsoft powerpoint；而hardcopy / 印刷出來的卡… 寶寶也很喜歡… 兩者要取捨嗎? 以我3、4個月的實踐，兩者其實是可相容的，也就是軟硬兼施… 或是雙管齊下。

我的意見是可以雙管齊下的，因我在未有Little reader之前是用powerpoint的，好處是方便快捷，省卻了揀數點卡的時間，但以實物Hard Copy的數點卡是有時可以讓BB不用經常睇住個Monitor (CRT or LCD)，另外看實物的親子感覺好似濃厚一些，因BB同時看著數點卡背後的父母，應該會比只看電腦開心一些。... 當然，Little Reader其中一個最大的好處that outweighs the printed copy is the handling of volumnous data... Chinese, English words, different languages, background music, picture or even movies...
