EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Math / Re: Fingering with Soroban

Soroban is best way to teach mathematics. It is used like the thumb to set the 1 beads, which are the 4 lower ones, use the forefinger to set the 5 beads at the top, take upper beads with the forefinger and not the thumb and The pinch is just what it sounds like - the thumb and forefinger are pinched together. This happens with 6, 7, 8 and 9 if there are enough beads.

Screen time is good but not more time. Screen time becomes a particularly important issue when discussing children's use of media. This includes television as well as video games and non-school related computer usage. Parents of children under the age of two are generally encouraged to allow no screen time at all. Because its effect on child's mind and especially their eyes.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: Can read but can't rhyme....

I know Kid's minds are sharp but not all kids mind are same. Some kids teach some times/days and few kids take more time to teach anything. So you can give some time and you can also spend much time with him. And when reading children's lit written in rhyme, that time last word of the second and fourth lines made to rhyme, This type of technique is really helpful as teach the pattern, often directly above each other.
