Suggestions: Can Little Reader have the following options: Option a) play voice and then followed by word + voice Option b) play voice only.
So it can help those who want to use Little Reader to review, learn and test kids spelling lists.
When reviewing and learning, play with word + voice option.
When testing, play with Option a) to test word by word or Option b) to test all words
Option a) i-Play with voice ii-kid to write the spelling word on paper upon hearing the voice. iii-Play with word + voice iv-Kid to compare immediately if the written word is same as the flashed word.
Option b) i-Play with voice all words ii-kid to write the spelling words on paper upon hearing the voice. iii-Normal play all words for kid to chk all written words.

Interesting software.
I usually use Little Reader to teach my kids their spelling, more like reading their Chinese Spelling.
I records the voice and words and then I turn off the voice and ask them to read the Chinese Spelling words.
I notice Little Reader don't have option to play the voice first with no word and then play the word + voice.
If Little Reader can have this option, then can use Little Reader to test them the spelling also.
Only thing is the kid would have to write on the paper instead of typing the words.
It would also be good if LR have option to play voice only.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: Should begin with Read first? Or both math and read?

have not tried all these methods on babies yet but I read what other ppl have said :
They just customise their program according to what they like and have time to do.
It seems some ppl do a bit of everything in a day if they have time. No fixed rules/sequence.
Looking at PC and TV Screens I read is fine 4 mths onwards or rather the baby eyes only develop by 4 mths to focus on them. Just don't over do eg not more than x min a time.
I hear this repeated so many times that most important is to make sure both you and baby enjoy the programs you show (Read/Math/Encyclopedic Paper/Electronic flashcards).
My older kids(7 & 9) already in school so lots of school homework. Only after school work finish I show them around 10 min of Little Reader/Little Math/Tweedlewink/WinkToLearn Chinese. Maybe like 3 days in a week. As at other days it's too late and they need to sleep.
