I am having the SAME problems as lench99 just didn´t have the time to look into it/write. My internet access has been very good and functional so far. BK teams: is there any way to make the download more feasible for us please?

One thing I don´t quite understand to start with are their membership schemes. They say all membership deals will "give you access to everything this site has to offer" but there are huge differences in the rates (from US$7 to US$25/month) Does anybody know a bit more about this?

And Is there no problem With copyright Infringements If pictures Are simply taken From the Internet And Being included in an official product like LR?

ehem, I only got to those files now, over 4 years ago.... Well, with the latest LR version I simply cannot see the .avi file (yes, I have checked the override settings and changed it to "video on") How and I see the video please? Am I the only one having problems? I have been a LR user for a while, just not downloaded many LR content done by members....

I think I´ll go for the word magnets with the synonyms then, sounds really like a good idea and the letter size is big enough. I don´t have any Walmarts or Dollar stores here (Europe ;-) but thanks for putting the info so that others from the US can use it !

Hi, I am currently looking into word magnets - anybody got any recommendations? Anybody got them? Are the white ones appealing enough to kids and allow them to make lots of sentences? Without having seen one close up yet, I´d prefer to buy a well researched magnetic word kit based on the Dolch or Fry list rather than a colourful, fancy marketing product, so I am asking for guideance from the experts in this forum ;-) Many thanks in advance!

EL17 - Sorry for the late reply. I used to make up my own stories for my son while he closed his eyes and imagined the images to my story. It could be at bedtime or just some quiet time during the day. As far as I recall, the important part of imaging is to engage all the senses. Don't just talk about things your child should see, but what you can taste, smell, feel and hear.

For example...

Today, we are sitting in a forest. There is a waterfall nearby and the water is crashing down upon the rocks with a sound like thunder. The air smells crisp and clear. We go over to the water and taste the icy cold mountain water.... and so on.

Another thing you can do, if you don't want to come up with your own scenarios is to play audio stories. Learn Out Loud has a lot you can download - some are free.
