Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Baby Massage

One way to massage a baby too is by massaging the baby from feet to head. I prefer no lotion. I am so hesitant in using lotion for my baby. What I usually do is massage the feet up and down. then circular motion for the tummy. From left to right, in a very gently motion. Lastly, is the face and head. To make sure your using the right pressure, try massaging your eyeball gently. I always get a big grin from my baby boy everytime I massage. We both feel very good. Happy massage!

Parents' Lounge / Coffee Corner - General Chat / Re: after baby birth... diet tips needed!

The only way to lose weight is to eat less and spend more energy. This is really hard to do for new moms. Especially me who had c-section. What I suggest is you try slilmfast. You can purchase this in any grocery store. This will make you eat less while you still feel full and energized. I lost a bit . Good luck!

Hi, I have a 5 month old baby boy. He is so adorable however, lately, he just want to be held all the time. We can't even put him down so he can have tummy time. He is so needy. I don't know if we already spoiled him becuase we pick him up right away everytime he cry. My only concern is, will he ever learn how to crawl and walk. Will this delay his development. Help!

Parents' Lounge / General Pregnancy / Re: Breastfeeding while pregnant

Hi, basing on everyones experience, it seems to me that breastfeeding while pregnant is alright. And I am so glad to know that. However, I read in one book before, that breastfeeding while pregnant isn't good because breastfeeding triggers contraction which isnt good for the new little one inside. Nhockaday is also right, the milk is changing in taste as well. This is normal occurence so the older baby will stop breastfeeding in protection of the new one. This will make the older one quits breastfeeding. However I could be wrong as well, I might have not understand what I read before.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child - Signing, Speaking, Languages / Re: Mother tonge and Forein language

Hi Anastasiya, like you, I would like to teach my baby my filipino language.Living in America and surrounded by american friends really a challenge because I no longer speak my language. Sometimes, when I speak to my baby, its always in english. But whenever I catch myself, I immediately speak my language. This is really hard too if you are married to american because the normal means of communication at home is in english. But what I suggest is to continue speaking to your child using your language whenever you can. It will eventually payoff. Bilingual kids always have an advantage and could have possibly high in IQ. So good luck and keep up the goodwork.

Hello everyone. I am new here, and I find this forum very helpful. I have a 5 months old baby and I feel like im experiencing the terrible 2 already. My boy won't let me put him down, he just want me to hold him all the time. I do hope this is normal though.
