For those of you that celebrate a gift-giving holiday, like Christmas, what do you plan to get for your kids? How about for your spouse? And will you give a gift to your neighbors? If so, what? I'm looking for idea, !

Oh, what a wonderful post! I too would love to hear the games you all play with your little ones! We're not very creative either, just sticking to silly games of chase or peek-a-boo, or goofy things that we make up on the spot that seem to make her laugh. I really need some more educational options, !

Once upon a time, Santa Clause wandered into my garden and dropped his cookies on blue carpet that my sacks of beads fell onto. I picked pickled parsnips from Papa's popular place, then danced deliriously for my baby panda and he got slept under the Christmas tree.
Whenever reindeer passes through the lovely supermarket OVERFLOWING with laughter throw tomatoes at grandpa giggling away.
We all stopped when suddenly George shouted, "HO HO HO! Oh, goodness!" Apparently the facetious elves played jolly upon finishing one cookie!
Hurray! Rudolph pranced joyfully while Santa drank eggnog and sang a song loudly while wrapping presents quickly. Everything suddenly vanished into clouds that disappeared rapidly into dust. It wasn't

Everyday I go outside And stride along the path with pride
And stop to look, should something catch my eye, I don't want to let the wonder pass me by!
i cant walk good, i badly feel shy People might look and wonder why
The cars zoom by, the cool wind blows I walk regardless of rain or snows
And when it snows upon my head My hair gets wet and I forget........
Oh, shoot! I left the oven on! Now I wish I hadn't gone!
I race back home as fast as I can and find a black turkey on fire in the pan.
I turn around to start again Only to realize the clouds just turned grey and it is starting to rain
This time I choose to stay inside

Terrific tamales taste tremendously toasty to trendy teenagers taking turns timing tormented toads tumbling towards two tumultuous tigers.
This totally tames the tastebuds that tremble, thinking, three ticklish turkeys throw trick trucks till tulips tango timidly truly thankful.
There, thieves took Timothy's turquoise toupee trousers that totaled thousands to Texas taxies. Thankfully, Timothy told teletubbies to topple toffee that turned tender trampolines tacky, twisted them terribly till they threatened

1. My baby carriers - (Angelpack LX and Calyx)... LOVE THEM! They settle my daughter when she is fussy and make it possible for me to shop more easily or go to the zoo or a fair without having to navigate around with a stroller. I have said multiple times that I don't know what I'd do without them! 2. High-speed internet - I don't know if I have the patience or time to be on the internet without my Verizon FiOS (it's fiber-optic internet, much like, but faster than, cable internet)! Our internet at work is super slow and it drives me crazy because I feel like I can't get any work done. Plus, if I have to use the internet with my daughter around, it better be quick! I have to agree about the crock pot too! I'm too tired to think of what else...

But then you have to think--milk hasn't been pasteurized for that long. How did my grandfather and grandmother stay healthy when they grew up on a farm? I know lots of homeschool families around my area who own local dairies and their kids drink completely unpasteurized milk...and they're so healthy!!
I think the point is to know where your food is coming from--whether it is from the store or a goat at a local dairy. Even commercially-made, super-restricted and enforced formula can harm your child (with the recent contamination), so you've really got to weigh your options!!
Good points texaslady22, and well put. I find it so difficult to decide what would be best for us. I don't think that the way things are done is the best way, but I'd hate to give my daughter unpasteurized milk and then see her get sick! I would feel awful! Know what I mean? I guess if she gets sick from pasteurized stuff, that I would feel that it's a fluke, but otherwise, I'd see at as my fault. Ugh. So tough to figure out!

Favorite thing to teach--science (I was going to be a Chemist before I went into English)
Least favorite thing to teach--math
I wonder if my son picked up my dislike of math and that's why he doesn't enjoy the "math game" we play.
I pretend to like it. Really, I do!!
Hahaha... I wonder the same thing with my daughter! I think they are able to see through our disguise of liking it quite easily!

There is a program throughout the US called ISR = Infant Swim Resource. They seem to have a great "water survival" course that teaches babies & toddlers what to do if they fell in the water. I hear it's a good place to start, prior to teaching regular swimming to your child... but I don't know how it plays into Doman or other teaching kids to swim programs. Still, I thought someone might want to check it out.

Nope. I would love to have a learning corner like what is recommended in the Tweedlewink course, but we simply don't have the space for anything like that. Gabriel's room is not big enough, and we don't have a playroom. He's normally on my lap in my room when we do most of his activities.
I haven't seen the Tweedlewink course material yet... does it say anything specific about how to set up a learning corner?
