Thank you so much for sharing. I feel the same way, while having a safe and sanitary house is important, I would rather spend time playing with my kids then washing windows and ensuring the house is perfect.

What an exciting time! I remember when I got pregnant the first tme and realized that my mom would be a grandma, that wasn't really so wierd, then I realized my dad would be a grandpa! I don't know why but that really struck me as odd! Anyway, wishing you all the best! and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

my 7 year old's first visit to the dentist was a nightmare! he was about a year old at the time and he was convinced that the dentist was going to take all his teeth away! very sad. but now they get along much better. he hasn't had a cavity yet and the dentist always gives him cool little toys.

My 7 year old was asking me the names of all the fish in our aquarium today, she would point and I would tell her what they were called. When we got to the Guppies she asked "Why are they called Guppies?" I answered that I did not know and she asked "is it 'cause they gu pee everywhere?" I could not contain my laughter! It was possibly the highlight of my week (sad huh)

I was always scared to see the chiropractor while pregnant, I thought he was going to squish the baby or something. I went to see him anyway and he reassured me that he would be gentle. he even had a special drop-away table so it wouldn't put pressure on the baby. (it did squish my breasts though, owch!) anyway, I think you should try it, if it works out cool, and if it doesn't you won't be in more pain than you are now. I say it's worth a shot.

My oldest one was afraid of the toilet until she was 2. she would pee in the potty seat, she would pee in the port-a-potty, she would pee outside, but never in her pants or on the toilet. She said she thought it was going to eat her. I took her in the bathroom and showed her the inside of the tank, then we flushed cheerios down so she could see how it worked.
2 days later she flushed my phone down the toilet and we haven't had a problem since!

My 7 year old won't take off her halloween costume. It wouldn't be so embarassing if she were a princess or something but no, she was a cat. Whenever we go out she wears it. Some lady actually asked me if we needed clothes for her. she does take it off to bathe, and she lets me wash it sometimes (thank heaven) but she hasn't worn anything else for a week!

My 7 year old and 6 year old kids are well behaved when other people are around, generous, courtious, polite, quiet, but when we are home alone or in the car they are trying constantly to drive each other and myself to the edge of insanity! what should i do about that?

The imaginary friend story reminded my of my niece who has a whole village of imaginary friends. They all live in her neighborhood and as she takes walks down her street she loves to tell you all about the "people" that live there and their interests, hobbies, and odd little quirks. One day I was walking with her and she pointed to the next door neighbo'rs house and she told me that they just had a friend move in and now no one can sleep in that house because the friend keeps them up all night by jumping on the beds.

While most people I know have there own blogs just for the fun of it there are several ways to receive compensation. 1-Google Ad Words- this is a google app and when your readers chick the words you get a small kick-back 2- Kontera- is a company that places links in your blogs and you get paid the same way as Google Ad words 3- If you get a large enough readership companies will come to you and request you to try out their products for free and write about them. 4- There are other companies that will host your blogs and pay you per post.
The longer your blog has been around and the more followers you have the better chance you have to recieve some compensation. For most people this is not a lot of money so it is not the primary motivation for blogging and instead is just a little icing on the cake.
I am not sure if there are other methods out there to get paid. If anyone knows of any please post them!

I believe promoting self-esteem in our children is one of the most important jobs parents have. What do you do to promote self-esteem in your children and in yourself? I saw this image today and thought the quote was one of the most beautiful things you could tell our children and ourselves. I tried to post the picture here but was unable, I will put it in my profile if you want to see it. Anyway, the quote was "Everything you need to be amazing is already inside you"

Not sure where you are going camping but I have always found shade and easy snacks to be essential to camping with little ones. Making meals can be a big production while camping but if you have lots of nutritious easy to carry snacks it can be the difference between a screaming child and a happy little camper!
