Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: My baby doesn't sleep well through the night - Help pls

I can highly recommend 'Save Our Sleep' by Tizzie Hall! Worked wonders for us, the routines are wondeful and really gave BC (and me!) a sense of security and a general idea of how our days would pan out. Of course we have our bad days, but he is mostly a dream and I think the routines have helped so much. Good luck! I second AussieMumofOne's recommendation. I used Tizzie Hall's "Save Our Sleep"!! Without it I would have been in a madhouse by now Cheers,

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Potty Education - Mishaps

Thanks for your reply guys!! It looks like she just might have been frustrated or something. It only lasted a few days. She's back to her good potty training I'll use your suggestions next time she does this. I really hope it won't be necessary She does love reading, but she has access to all her books, all of the time, every day. The other things she loves will be too messy in the house and unfortunately, living here in HOT Australia, trying to potty train outside the house won't do - it's just too hot and the UV is too high Cheers,

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Potty Education - Mishaps
|

Hi all My daughter has finally started showing signs that she's ready for "Potty Education" a while ago. I let her walk around naked in the house through the day - I've tried putting on panties and shorts, but she'll wet herself wherever she stands when she has something on her bottom. She loved going on the potty and even sitting "like mommy" on the "big toilet" without the potty seat. All has been going great until a few days ago. She started "going" in and on other stuff. For example: She made a poo in a plastic toy holder yesterday and this morning she urinated on a cloth nappy she took out of her closet. I've praised her for not just going on the carpet ( ), and asked her nicely to next time go on the potty but she just said "No!" Has anyone had the same experience? Any ideas as how to get her not to do this, or is it just a phase she's going through? I was hoping she'll be off nappies during the day seeing that our baby boy will be here on the 20th December. Cheers,

BrillKids Software / Tech Support / Re: Which version of windows should i buy?

I don't use either, to be quite honest, I haven't even heard of these two programs before reading your post - You can get both with Windows 7, one to upgrade if you already have a previous version of Windows which is cheaper OR (my preference) one that's a program all on its own! Personally I don't like to buy programs that updates only, as I like to get rid of previous versions as I don't like to gather things. Jip, the better programs seem to become, the more complicated it gets - I had to do a fresh install of my PC the other day JUST to install Office 2010 - so annoying!!! Hope you get to use your BrillKids package soon!! Cheers,

Hi ExtremeBartendingDad I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit and my BrillKids works a 100%!! The x64 bit Windows are faster, but not ALL x32 bit programs are compatible with it, but x32 bit is going to be obsolete in the future. Hope this helps a bit . Cheers,

Parents' Lounge / General Pregnancy / Re: When and how did you find out about your baby's gender???

I found out I was having a girl. I am so happy although I didn't have a gender preference to begin with, I just hope that there is no mistake while keeping in mind that it is only 99% accurate. Congrats on your little girl Motherosette, they are VERY precious!!! They have to say it's only 99% accurate, they said it even with my ultrasound; and as you can see from the picture it couldn't be anything except a boy ! Enjoy buying all the cute girly baby clothes!!!!

Pig, woo? The issue is that my daughter being 14 weeks pregnant is having a difficult time because she is also very tired and the only thing she wants is to sleep, sleep, sleep and eat. But after eating a little bit she is satisfied until 2 hours after that she is hungry again. The problem is that she works and has to keep the schedule.
2010BEBES - Has her doctor tested her for iron deficiency? I know that you can normally be very tired during pregnancy, but if she's iron deficient, it can make it even worse!! I should know, I was deficient during my first pregnancy and am deficient again during this pregnancy .

Yes, you usually get to know the gender at the 20 week scan, but if you have a very experienced person who's doing the ultrasound they can see it any time from 14 weeks onwards. I got to know my baby girl's sex when I went for an amnio at 16 or 17 weeks - that's a definite 100% certainty as they get it from the baby's gene's. I got to know my baby boys sex two weeks back when I went again for an amnio, but we saw it on the ultrasound as I did not go through with the amnio. They said it's not a 100% certain, but my baby can't be anything else but a boy from the pictures we saw !! And yes Motherosette, it's very annoying to see all the cute stuff (blue or pink) and not being able to buy anything except the white, yellow and green stuff . It used to drive me nuts!! Cheers,

I am also prego with my second. My lil boy is will be one month shy of 2 yrs old when our lil girl gets her. (sept 10) Is any one having any problems with clinging toddlers while prego?
Hi munkee23 I will be 18 weeks pregnant tomorrow and my little girl turned two in April - and YES, she is VERY clingy !! Especially when we're out and about or with people she doesn't know very well!! I don't know what I'm going to do when my baby boy is here (due Christmas day). Everyone says that it will help as soon as I put her in Daycare, but that will have to wait until we move - I don't want to put her through all that stress just to move her to a new Daycare after a few months.
