I used LR and LM as a transition tool from playtime to nap time.  When my son wasn't quite ready to go to sleep but wanted extra attention/cuddles I found that LR and LM helped bridge the gap and he really paid attention to the lessons.  If I tried to show him the lessons when he was active and busy he had no interest but in the beginning stages of tired when he was wanting extra attention we both enjoyed the lessons.

I tried the trial version of little reader and I was able to download additional content to try but now that I have purchased the product the download section just says login first with no indication where to login.  I login to the forum popup that loads with the software upon opening and that doesn't seem to help.

Anything I am missing?

Thanks for sharing; great video.  There is a great book called bounce ( http://www.amazon.com/Bounce-Federer-Picasso-Beckham-Science/dp/B004NSVE5U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1368647712&sr=8-2&keywords=bounce ) that describes how the brain works in adults.  It is very interesting how much they are learning about brain function.

i bought the newborn development kit for $10 on ebay.  It was listed with weird keywords which is why I got it so cheap.  Search for developmental toys, doman, newborn development, doman kits, etc.

My mother was a special education teacher so when my brothers and I had trouble in school she was our advocate and pushed to have us tested.  We were all labeled "gifted" and my mother demanded that we each have IEP's (independent education plans).  We all had behavior issues to different degrees because we were bored.  I got kicked out of the library for using it too much in 2nd grade. 

The school system did not make it easier for my mother but because of her own teaching background she pushed to get us the services and advanced education we needed.  If any teacher or school system discourages you from teaching your children go on the internet and find out your rights.  The law that deals with the rights of handicapped kids also addresses gifted children so your school, by federal law, is required to adjust your child's schooling to meet their demands.

I would also recommend getting involved in www.nagc.org/ which has an advocacy wing as well as great resources for parents. I hope this helps.

Another great resource for geography lessons is the CIA World Fact book website.  https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/
It is a great resource for pictures of countries, maps, flags etc.  This would be a great website to check out if you receive postcards from outside your country.  You would not think that the CIA would be a great source of non-biased information but it is one of the most up to date websites with basic geography information about most countries as well as great pictures of the country from its people, to its landscapes, to other cultural highlights. The country comparison feature is especially cool and useful.  Hope this helps others!

I am excited for the release of Little Music as well.  I was wondering if it would be included in a value bundle like those currently available for Little Reader Deluxe and Little Math.  I am currently pregnant and I want to purchase all three programs.  Hopefully the Little Music release will predate my baby!
