EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / Re: explaining this to others!

There is no need to explain any one any thing when they see a 2 year reading that is proof right there. But never tell unless the other person is on the same page as you. My Husband does not believe in this neither does my own mother. So once i realized that I never told tem any thing now there is proof my toddler reads about 30 words. But cannot say them very clearly but I havent told them anything. Once my toddler is reading on her own ,they will see it. Remember seeing is believing! Never care about others! #1 rule

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Math / Re: Shichida 65-Day Math programme?
|

One can be sure that in 65 days the information sticks in the brain. I have researched that if you use both side of the brain you will see amazing results and if the child is well rounded that the child will shine. What I mean is : mazes, puzzles, eye exercise, memory games, reading alot doing alot of work book doing alot of activities music lessons, are just a few things that we can do and the result is remarkable but if we do it for 65 days than it is sort of a habbit. Just remember expose your child to every thing aand they will florish just stay calm and happy at all the time and no harsh punishment because it gives a negative message to the brain and automatically it stops learning. So dance and teach math it works!

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Encyclopedic Knowledge / Re: Anybody doing the encyclopedic knowledege program?
|
on: July 23, 2009, 05:00:38 AM

Hey guys! I was just wondering if we can make a list of all the things and other parents can share then together we can do all the encyclopedic knowledge together. What I mean is that we make a list and beside each list we write down who will be doing it .Then together with all the brains combined we can come up with everything and it won't even take so much of our time but we will have everything. we can cover lots of subjects like: Geography island river bay, lake, desert, gul delta, volcano, glacier etc vertebrates in vertebrates plant king dom Botnay : different flowers and then we can highlite different parts of them to show patels, stamens, pistil, sepal, corolla etc with different flowers we can do the same with leaves show blade , margin, apex, base, primary vein, secondary veins, petiole, auxiliary, bud ,stem etc we can show the details so they can see the details. samething goes for inventors show vocabulary cards such as bolted and run so they can see it is the same thing but there is another way to say it. Basically what I am saying that together we can achieve alot and it will not cost so much and we can have everything. have the great composers in music and we can record their famous music so it will be pleasent to remember for the kids this way they will remember what kind of music they play as well as their name and picture. I will make the list and every one is welcome to add their thoughts regarding it. please let me know . thanks

EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / Re: over active baby no attention span

Thank you so much for the reply's It means a lot to me. The doctor wants to wait and see because she is still too young. I have tried every thing from changing her diet and to sleeping more. But nothing is working out. All day long she is running around, she does not want to be carried around at all.She is very independent she likes to eat on her own if any one tries to feed her she will cry but not eat. Driving is impossible with her she just crys all the way. She does not have any attention span at all if we give her a new toy she will look at and check it for 1 second and throws away across the room. Literally we have to run around behind her she runs very fast and most of the time she does not want any one near her. If I take her to the park she will try everything just once and off she goes running from one end to another. I cannot read one page of the book even if there is one workd on it she closes and throws it across the room. I am very worrried I have not seen any one baby like this. When I take her any place she literally runs and touches everything and if it does not go her way she bangs her head on the floor so hard that when I am protecting her my hands get hurt so much and it is very dangerous. Please if any one can help me I will really apperciate it. I am so stressed out and worried.

Yes Kumon method is about time and repetition to help your child master it better use flash cards so they memorize the concepts . Once the basic is achieved it becomes easier for them to achieve.

I just wanted to ask if there is a way that you can make payment plan for 4-5 months on agreement that you charge all at once. Honestly I believe there will be a lot more parents who can then afford. I am in school myself right now and have a part time job. So time is limited to make flash cards but to show it is possible every day. Another thing that if there is a way to work a deal with the other partner products to do the same It will be amazing. Its like how we can buy products through tv commercials making couple of payments and then its our but what I am saying is that we can set the payments and take it out every month so the load is manage able.

if you can teach your baby other things you can teach them to go potty. Every baby is different. Here is what I do I take my 14 months old to potty and she poos every time . Basically I have timed her routine and I know her clues. She does not pee all the time so she is still using the diaper but she poos few times .
