Hope this information will be useful to somebody! At the moment on US eBay there are couple listings of homemade bit cards: categories: Whales' $9.99 Oceanliners, $9.99 Era of Mozart, $13.99 Dolphins, starting price $19.99 Corn varieties $7.99 Currency/ Money $9.99 Listings end on July 12, July 13. Just search " bit of intelligence" on US ebay. Quote from the listing: """About these bit cards in general: Each sturdy poster board card is approximately 12 x 12 inches unless otherwise noted. Each card has a realistic picture of an item or object on one side and the name of the item printed on the other. All of these bits were hand made by me (and some helpers) over the course of several years. Please understand that they were made for a specific purpose-to help my son-and not as a high quality commercial resale item. Those of you on the program know that they were made under tremendous time pressure. Some sets are better than others. This is reflected in the price. They are NOT perfect. Some are laminated, some are not. Some have P.O.I. (additional information about the pic on front) but most do not. Please note that I live in an extremely high humidity area. Even though the bits have always been inside, on some bits the humitdity has aaused the marker on the bak to seep through. In my opinion this does not affect the usefulness of the bits. It is noted in the item description when this is an issue.
Please read every description carefully regarding condition and number of bits in the set.
If you require a listing of every specific bit in a set please let me know and I will post a list for that set. If you are looking for something specific, email me--I have thousands!
My collection contains several thousand bit cards that I have made. I will sell large or small groups per your request.
You can't buy a commercial bit card for less than $2 per bit. It is hard to make one for less than that when you calculate the picture, ink, cardstock and laminating. That doesn't take into account the most valuable resource-- Time. I am asking less than that for my bit cards. You are getting a great deal!
I will be putting many sets of bits up for auction in the next few weeks.
You may either pick up your bits locally within 2 weeks of auction end or have them shipped either way payment is due at the time of auction end per ebay policy.
Shipping is either by flat rate priority mail or media mail--your choice at the time of purchase
Please ask your questions before you bid
No returns on bit cards""""
