My child is too young to be homeschooled right now, although to be honest we have started doing so anyway. My husband stays at home at the moment and does a "unit study" with Laurana in the morning - every day is a new one based on a letter of the alphabet and they are very short because she is still very young. In the afternoon I usually read a lot to her - I have looked up curricula and found the books that are used in various literature programmes then get the books out the library - at the moment we are trying to figure out what she is capable of listening to as she can take in books meant for second graders right now even though she cannot read herself yet (at least not a whole book) Both of us do a little reading with her - either LR or flashcards and we have started phonics too. We also make sure she gets outside everyday and take her to the park or elswhere.
I am considering homeschooling with a proper curriculum when she is perhaps 3, but for now we are managing to pull our own curriculum together. If my husband gets a permanent job soon then my daughter will have to go to a school in the mornings at least until we decide to have a second child (hopefully not too long now)
