Dear All,
Since almost everyone watches the local news and some of us follow international news, the children are fully aware of the latest developments on a day to day basis - even though they may not always comprehend it. While the news has many negative stories, it also has many positive stories, and should be used as a teaching tool for our children.
As our children watch us watch the news, they will naturally have questions. And these questions of curiosity can serve as the basis of topics for Encylopedic Knowledge, that are designed for their learning level.
We enjoy watching world news from the BBC, to balance local news with international events.
