Maths - Encyclopedic Knowledge

I am interested in doing a ek for maths ....

Can somebody give me a idea of how to do it

That's a good question, I would also like to know about Math Encyclopedia cards ... I don't think I have seen any around on Brillkids (unless I missed them).

What kind of math are you thinking of?  Quantity dot cards or geometric shapes?  There are many quantity files in the LR Library, and I think someone put them up in the flash card area also.  I think Linzy did a great shapes file with pictures and pois for the shape triangle thru pentadecagon or something like that.  Maybe you could do a file on something like measurement?  Or maybe angles or roman numerals.  Or were you thinking of how to do pois for a math category?

I assumed what a "Math Encyclopedia" card meant was kind of like what I once saw at the gentlerevolution.com website -

they have these bits of intelligence for "polygons" and it gives 10 facts about each polygon shape - I thought those were very interesting and I know that creating something like that would be very time-consuming.  I assumed that that's what Malathi meant. 

Yes, I have looked at those other great quantity files you have mentioned and I use them for my son - they are very helpful, thankyou -  I would like to do some files on things like that in the future, but it's probably going to be a while before I get to work on that

Here is a link to an example encyclopedic knoledge file I did with polygons.  It has all regular polygons fromtriangle to pentadecagon with pictures on one side and then the ten facts on the other side ready for printing and mounting on cardboard.

You could easily use this as an example to create many more math encyclopedic knowledge files. I could think of cards with mathematical functions, mathematicians, three dimensional shapes... and many more. Just think of the set you want and then ten general categories of information you'd like to know about each "bit" in the set.

I was hoping to do some older maths flashcards (primary school level) and some POIS once I figure out how to do uploads, and also have time. Finding copyright free maths pictures has been quite challenging (I havent yet succeeded!)
