Anyone get results from Doman Math Method?

Hi All,

I have enjoyed reading this thread as I am in the early preparation stages of planning to each math.  And I am also excited because I received the Deluxe Math program from IAHP today, and plan to watch the dvd lecture first and then read the book.

I will post again with any quesions I may have once done.

And for Mrs. DomanMom, what is the approximate upload date that the "coming soon" math schedule resources will be available on your site, please?

Just happened to read this experience from K.D. from Denver and thought it might interest everyone:

"I am a Doman baby and so are my boys. Reading is a breeze for our 4 year old in K-5. Math was a breeze for me in school. I never had to "learn" it. It just happened. Definitely keep with it! You'll never regret it. I know lots of other moms who have done it and been grateful. We've all taken lots of guff, too. My thought is that the differences aren't seen until pre-algebra. I never struggled at all with math. Maybe it was natural ability, but what if it wasn't? It didn't hurt me to have the info ahead! My mom did bit cards with me with lots of subjects. At 8 mos. she woudl give me a sentence that said "K. kissing Mommy" and I would do it as well as any another sentence. At 2 I told her a Carmengia was a Volkswagon. We have never talked cars. I "read" the logo. I love to read to this day and its very easy. I'd love to talk if you need more encouragement. Don't pay attention to the naysayers. They haven't read the books and don't know. Have fun with it!"

I am overwhelmed with the wealth of information on the internet abut early learning.

I tried “Your Baby Can Read” with my 15 month old, and had such great success, I am eager to move onto Math. I have just ordered the book on Math from Glenn Doman, and have started with the Math Dots. I am wondering if I need Tweedlewink or Brill Kids Math or Reading. (I am currently using the 14 day trial for Brill Kids). My youngest is 2 yrs & 2 months old. (Her siblings are 5 yrs, and 6.5 yrs)

Hey All,

I am new here... and would like to thank DomanMom for sharing her Dots slides and schedule plan. However I found some error in one of her teaching mat'l which she shared on her blog.

It's really wonderful of u to have share your efforts wif us!! just like to highlight to u possible mistakes in your last few slides from the Dots powerpoint slides that you shared... there r somewhere around 90 dots and onwards, or even earlier (haven finish checking). What I did to verify the qty of dots was to select all dots in a slides and custom animations (using "start on click" for every single dots). "Custom Animation Window" will list out the no. orders of each dots, so after excluding the animations for the numeral (i.e. the one at the bottom RHC),  u shld be able to find extra 1 dot for these few slides. Perhaps you can verify again

When my daughter was 5 months, I started showing her dot cards on the computer. I showed her numbers 1-20.
I didn't go any further(bad mommy) because I wanted to continue by using the actual doman math kit. Now she is almost two years old, and I am starting her on this program. Your not supposed to, but I did a little test. After months and months of not seeing any dots, I showed her dots 1-5 and asked her to point to one, four, two etc. Guess what? She pointed to the right ones! After all that time! We are excited to start up again, and she thinks that the math cards are fun.I would say that this program can give great results! I would encourage everyone to try.

Just to share the errors found on DomanMom's Dots Powerpoint slides as mentioned in my earlier post... better to verify if u guys r using..

. 79 dots to 89 dots (1 less dot)
. 90 dots to 100 dots (1 extra dot)

Can you help me to count if the dots in the words format is correct? I had print them out and been using them for quite sometimes. I still can't figure out how to check.

sorry, i have no idea how to check for microsoft words either... at least for powerpoint, i can use "custom animation" function to help..

i intend to print out from powerpoint instead..

Thank you for sharing this. I have been using the powerpoint dot slides with my daughter. I double-checked them today and you are right! Fortunately, we haven't gotten past 50 yet. I have corrected my slides. I didn't realize there could be someone else more obsessive-compulsive than I am.  But I sure am glad you are! Thanks!
