MINDBLOWING PERFORMAMCE BY A LITTLE BOY WHO LOVES MATHS

This video is in Malayalam (an indian language).
As u can see this boy can beat any calculator or calcultaing devices and can calculate upto 25 numbers extremely fast...before  even the calculator can give results. He says its just practise. DO U HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT METHOD HE IS USING TO CALCULATE IN HIS HEAD....IS IT SIMILAR TO THE ABACUS VIDEO OF KOREAN KIDS??

Possible he's using a simple mental calculation technique that is well practice, it's also possible he's been trained in mental abacus or something else.

But either way, unless he's a maths prodigy, and was able to understand advanced arithmetic naturally with out EVER having been instructed in it, this is something that comes  from practice, practice, practice.

Its something you can begin at 4 or 5 and learn to do. The Japanese Mental Abacus champion began at 12 and is now the best in his nation/the world, so its not something you have to begin your 7-24 month old on.

From his hand gestures, it is very obvious that he is trained in abacus. There is no surprise here when comparing with the other kids in youtube who do mental calculations using abacus. But I agree PRACTICE is essential.

Now that I've watched the video, (hadn't watched it before) he is definitely trained in Abacus methods. It just requires practice is all, but ALOT of practice to be the champ.

Which is amazing. I never thought of using an abacus for math. I know what I'll be doing with my girls !

Yeah I guess its abacus training....he even knows all the multiplication tables below 1000!....

He also mentioned that he practices everyday for 2hrs .....and he can add,substract,multiply and divide upto 25 sets of numbers in 1 go.....to me that's amazing. There is another method of easy maths called VEDIC MATHEMATICS...which is an ancient mathematic method..wherein u can do calculations of huge numbers in ur head.

I happened to read an article on UCMAS -mental maths (branch of abacus)....they use index and thumb fingers in both hand to simultaneously calculate numbers...I thinks this boy here is using this technique.
